I’d like to be able to equip forearm (default key “4”), whenever I’d want to.
Right now I can’t equip it, when the refractive armor meter is recharging.
A small request for the Phantom.
So Fletcher isn’t allowed to have his stickies out, even after throwing them all? Or Kira not having her empty laser guidance out? Or Arty having his empty Artillery marker out?
I see no reason why Phantom can’t have his forearm out.

Nader, Rhino, Kira, Arty and Sparks can have their “ITEM 1” drawn out, during cooldown.
In Phantom’s case, it’s not just about the speed, but also preparing to use Refractive Armor, right before the cooldown ends.
Even if Phantom had a knife in his loaudout, I’d still use forearm instead. 
P.S. I don’t use quick ability buttons, the regual equiping is much better.
The time it takes to activate his RA with the quick key compared to having manually use it seems minute to me.
Also, if it’s a matter of run speed, you could run with your sidearm instead.
But, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to have this forearm out while RA is on cooldown (with some visual aid showing his meter drained and slowly refilling back up?).
we need every edge to get this phantom going.

I’d also like to add, that it’s easier to turn refractive armor on, when wall dodging.
Otherwise I would have to occupy one of my fingers, on the “quick ability” key, which slightly messes up the momentum. By having it equipped beforehand and pressing M1, this isn’t an issue no more.
It’s best to turn on refractive armor during wall jump, because you don’t lose speed.
The same scenario with Fletcher’s stickies, when it’s better to equip them, and throw them with M1, instead of quick ability key.
