A simple Martyrdom change.

In that if you want to use Martyrdom, you have to take out the nade before going down. With the nade out, you can’t fire any weapons, and it requires you to anticipate an inevitable death and prepare for it. To use, just press E (or whatever you have bound to Ability2), and Nader will sheathe her weapons to hold a live grenade in her hand. It’s not on a fuse, but you don’t get to throw it. At any point up to death, you can switch back to any of your weapons…

…but once you fall with nade in hand, there’s no chance of being revived. It’ll be exactly like Martyrdom as it is currently, except if you died without nade in hand, you can’t take it out, and if you had it in hand, you can’t back out of it.

Making Martyrdom use one of the nades in Nader’s inventory is another change I’ve seen tossed around; I think that’s a good idea, but not absolutely necessary. We’d have to see how that plays out in concert with this change.

How to make an unskilled ability incredibly skilled.

And maybe even luck based.

So you want to change Martyrdom from a last last resort, maybe I get a kill ability, to this:

Oh hey you over there. Yeah you, would you please kill me. I want to blow you up - here look, I make it easier. Wont even shoot at you. Come on you can do it.
Ha I knew you had it in you, now prepare to get blown to pieces… Wait what, why are you running in the opposite direction? Why are you betraying me like this, I thought we had a thing going here.

Martyrdom is fine. your change would basicaly equate to a Fragger getting killed with a nade in his hand.
To make sense for such changes would mean that Martyrdoms damage/radius needs to be severe buffed. And the only use case of it would be a suicidebombing playstyle i.e. It would have to work on the premise of either you manage to kill Nader before she reaches you, or you die 90% of the time, unlike the 70% chance of escaping it. we are looking at right now.

or just learn how to keep your distance from a dead nader…

NO, it’s already next to useless ability and with that it would rendered basically pressing K.

And using one of his nades for Martyrdom means the same thing: it would have small radius that would inflict just 90 points of damage.

I have died three times to Nader Martyrdom either by accident or my own disability to pay attention whether she’s finished or not.
Lately I have killed with martyrdom only those that are blatantly unaware about this ability and it ain’t many.
It’s been only useful on Bridge in that drug sample room on big pub game where in the midst of chaos it has killed some.

Why to change already next to useless ability to completely useless?

I know to keep my distance from a dead Nader. That’s actually what motivated me to try to make Martyrdom less useless.
That’s actually what motivated me to try to make Martyrdom less useless.
I’m not following you.

How Nader running around with live grenade in her hand like maniac without any chance to defend herself means Martyrdom being less useless?

Only thing that to make sense would have her blow up her whole arsenal in one blast so she would turn into suicide bomber. The idea is rather funny but certainly would turn it into “Nader watch” for other players and unfun for them.

Please stop with these threads, Martyrdom is perfectly balanced as it is and don’t need any change. Sometimes even i fall to the trick, and i blame myself for being stupid enough to get killed by it. You can easily avoid Martyrdom, if you pay attention.
