I actually hope they don’t increase the rocket CD. As a Jav victim I’d rather the rocket be more counterable than somewhat rarer and less counterable. And as a Jav player a longer rocket CD seems unfun. So much of her identity is built around the rocket that a 40 second CD or whatever would make her a lot less fun to me. Even before the latest 10% buff to stokers moly DPS, the patch that lowered the CD made him way more fun to play. 45+ sec CD’s are really only appropriate for abilities with massive teamkill potential. Obviously the rocket can pull triple kills, but more often it’s used to cheese a single player or two. A ‘Gaurenteed’ kill or double kill every 45 seconds is less fun for everyone than a chance to pull a kill or double kill every 30. Rewards are only addicting if they are somewhat inconsistent. Would much rather have a rocket that is harder to execute but regularly available. Longer charge time, easier to shoot down, and louder charge sound as you said.
For the same reason I think Javelin with recharge is both less frustrating to play against AND more fun to play with than Jav with explosion radius. Part of the less frustrating part is that you always have to assume the Jav has her rocket up anyway, so a 45 second CD wouldn’t much change the fact that you have to run away whenever you see her above you. Ironically, knowing that the rocket is on a longer CD but having to run away from it anyway because you aren’t sure if it’s off CD is even more frustrating.
Also, although this verges on spam, I really hope they nerf her health to 110 so she has a clear weakness relative to other fire supports. Even a nerfed rocket is going to be a better merc killer than arty or moly. I like the model of a slightly fragile fire support with an unusually dangerous ability. Would also make it easier to kill her before her rocket goes off, which I think should be the #1 objective of her inevitable nerfs. Whipping out the rocket launcher to turn a gun fight should not be a thing.
