Hi there, I am working on a map, and I was thinking of some ways that I could add some subtle atmosphere to the map. I was wondering if there was any way to start off a map being overcast, but not raining, and then after a certain objective is completed, and you enter section two in my map (its bisected), it is raining on the other side, like in radar…
A quick weather question...
You could have it raining in one part of the map and not another by messing with the tracemap, but you can’t turn rain on and off. I’m not sure what effect editing the tracemap would have on mortars, though. I know they use it, but I don’t know exactly how. If rain used one channel and mortars used another, it would be fine.
well i want to know how to make the efect of snow, ive added the atmosphere key and all the values, i have my tracemap,so, what is happening, maybe my sky is to high or too low???
sky is about 2600, and lower terrain is in about -768
can some of u guys help me???
The atmospheric effects and mortars use the same tracemap channels. You cannot switch the atmopsheric effects on/off either. (Shame really, would have added some nice situations to maps)
