A possible solution to the issue of useless Special Edition cards

Nobody likes getting useless (but pretty) loadout cards, so what if SD provided a way (even for only a week-long event) to transmute bad loadouts (with good skins) into ones you like?

For instance, if you bought the Humble Bundle pack for DB, the Skyhammer card is ATROCIOUS, but the skin is one of the nicer skins that are in the game (IMHO). What if you could sacrifice two loadout cards, one with the skin you want, and one for the merc you want, with the loadout you want, along with X credits or an equivalent in crafting kits, to get one good loadout card with the skin and loadout you want. This would not be available with merc-specific skins (such as the proxy culprit or obsidian cards). I, for one, would love my KE81 Phoenix to be Humble Bundle rather than ReV. Or a CD F82 Aimee.

If this would be a week-long event, prices should be lower (10000-15000 credits)
Should it be a permanent change (SD plz) the prices could be higher (25000-35000)

SD made an event where you can get CW skin with better Gen 2 loadouts
and i think thats already generous enough

@GatoCommodore I disagree, giving me more cards I’ll never use won’t solve the problem I have with a bunch of useless cards in my Barracks

At the very least they could allow us to recycle our old useless event cards for fragments towards new cards. I don’t understand why that can’t be a thing.

It isn’t a thing, because then it implies that those cards are not as valuable as they want you to think they are. If they let you recycle or delete them, its admitting that hey… maybe people don’t think every one of these special edition cards are awesome… and that puts a negative view on special edition cards as a whole.

Of course we aren’t stupid and can see for ourselves that most of the special edition cards we get are worthless to us, at least we have the hope that one day… probably no where near now… we will get the ability to trade cards, or sell them on the steam market.
