Say no more!

I mean you’re a man of the world,… you’ve done it?.. You’ve… played a Splash Damage game?

What’s it like?

Yeah I know I should have just said “Hello”

So I’m John, an old gamer, I started playing Avalon Hill board games in the 70’s, found Ultima III and Wizardry in the 80’s. Walked away from computer games for a few years when I thought maybe I should grow up, (or at least convince my new wife that I was trying to grow up). But then Sim City, Civilization, Masters of Orion, and S.M.A.C. dragged me back into computer gaming… Then my wife gave me two sons, and when they were old enough to hold controllers in their sweaty little hands I bought them (much to my wife’s dismay) a Nintendo Gamecube… And for a few years I could beat them at many many video games but now I watch in dismay as even my youngest son makes my best efforts in BFBC2 look pathetic, and my older son embarrasses me with his 360-spinning-quick-scoping in COD, and that is when he is just when he is toying with me.

Anyway, one thing that my boys and I all have agreed on for over a year now is that Brink looks to be absolutely awesome! So I decided to finally delurk and say… Hello.

We live in Arizona (please if you are familiar with what passes for politics in Arizona don’t hold that against me), I am a Nurse and I work nights, been up for 21 hours straight now, and have worked three 12-hour night shifts in a row, and was just called by staffing to see if I wanted to come in a work a fourth… Looking forward to meeting you all.

What are these “bored games” of which you speak? I kid, of course. Welcome.
