It’s type in full email address and password every time, and yes it’s ****ing annoying, especially when it’d be childs play to enable us not to have to do it.

Exactly the reason I don’t go to the Nexon forums. However for some reason this server browser page allows my session to stay logged in. No idea why or how to reproduce it but I ain’t gonna argue!

unlike the nexon page, i only have to double click the email section and it brings down my email. either way, it cuts the time it takes to look at servers by about 90%. its one thing to point out whats annoying, its another to string swears together as if its really a massive deal.

The point of my post was, having invested some work in the much needed web browser (and I was among the first to ask for this) and placing it to nexon platform equals not working on this web browser at all. It is just a waste of time because it is unusable. Instead SD could have hanged it to their own web platform easily (or at least as a mirror). It’s just sad, that’s all. Such things as this or as persistent game ui bugs that have never been fixed since alpha beginnings or the permanently terrible performance which was promised to be improved with every patch (and clearly have not improved at all) just make me feel very bad as a tester and a long term fan of SD games. It makes it very hard to stick to the subject of testing. That’s all, nothing personal, just wanted to let them know, because they might as well be unknowing of what different testers feel or get put off with.

Ashog, we have to use the Nexon authentication to make sure only people with access to the closed beta can visit the site; this is a different set of users that can visit these forums and are known to our account system. I could avoid it, but I’m pretty sure that you wouldn’t be happy with the Play Dirty site acting like a phishing one; it would be very bad for your Nexon password to make it through our server.

This is probably for a separate thread, but I’m trying to get a list of issues with the Nexon authentication system together for them to work on, anything you can provide here would be useful. (And I apologise if they have been mentioned somewhere else before, just give me the links - I’ve been mainly concentrating on the backend of things over the last few months.)

Well there was at least this thread on Nexon forums. Started by Mustang, perhaps there were some follow-up threads - I stopped following nexon forums after that.

Regarding the auth system - can’t you have one Play Dirty hanging on Nexon, and another one hanging on alpha forums auth system or basically Warchest system? Even better attach the Play Dirty as one of the “subforum entries” (probably not possible technically tho)?

Sorry to bump this up, but I have just noticed this about the Play Dirty: as if messy logging in were not enough, you actually still have to log in from scratch to Play Dirty even if you have logged in to nexon forums (so you have to log in twice if you wanna visit both).

Why don’t you just add the Play Dirty adress in your internet files? With Firefox you can create files in the top bar, then you just have to drag and drop the adress to past it and the access is simplified, you won’t need to connect to Nexons forum to access to Play Dirty.

For some unknown reason the PlayDirty site remembers my login on chrome, I never need to type my details in.

Did you transfer your account to nexon? (it’s a nexon login screen)
