So far winner will receive $100usd via paypal to spend as they wish. There will be probably another 100 added to that in the next week and more even after. We are looking for a good objective based map. Read rules at url above for more info If interested, reply to that url so we know whos going to compete.

(the more users competing the more the cash prize will be)

Basic Rules:

-map larger then 2mb max of 18mb.
-In map have etconfigs.net url in the map somewhere at least twice. with level designers name next to it.
-Make sure it has a good objective not just a frag map.

That site had the most obnoxious little sh*ts I’ve ever had to deal with tbh :frowning:

You notice that the vio_grail map version is _b3, which had missing textures, imbalanced spawn times, initial spawns too close etc. They refused to update it despite numerous requests hence it got the bit fat ‘nul points’. To be fair to them I only entered the map for fun (its intended as a fun pub map not a comp map) but thought it might work as a comp map due to its size and speed - they obviously thought otherwise :slight_smile: The words ‘fun’ and ‘crossfire’ don’t mix it seems…

well ill enter a modded fueldump… NOT. im trough with mapping, just don’t have enough time, i left a map that has some cool obj and lots of fun for every class, but i will not finish it.

Can we enter more than one map? I got 3 maps that are out soon .

Also for the inclusion of the site URL can we release a separate pk3 that overwrites a billboard I have placed in original map to display the site info instead of what I got there now? I really don’t like advertising in my maps and I don’t want to release two versions of the same map like I did with the CPC mapping comp’ as that created much confusion.

You could make it an entity an setstate it in the script.
default in the competition entry and invisible in the release.

If by doomed you mean it producing a competitive map people play & enjoy - then yeah, it was an absoloute failure.
