A great way to help make the brink community better than it already is as it stands is to add an online ladder stem on either the splash damage or beth website… no third party website. i feel like the splash damage site would be a more appropriate place to have the ladder system… Brink a very fun and competitive game may be a lot more fun with some competition for the #1 spot on the ladder for each console. I do not know much about running a website… but i would think it is not too expensive to get something like this up and running online… What else to say But the ladders could be 5v5(comp) 6v6 7v7 8v8 (freeplay rules) … well i think this would be great and possibly cheap… what do you all think?
A great way to help make Brink even better. Splash Damage?
Pleeeeeeeez. They already got their priorities, and it’s not worth much more effort than that.
Individual player leaderboards were originally ruled out during development. Perhaps that ideal changed. Don’t care at this point. As to clan ladders or clan anything:
The clan update teased on the Brink site is also still in the works and that’ll naturally come with another round of game updates to plug everything in. Don’t have any more information on those bits to share at the moment but expect more as that content moves closer to the finish line.
Don’t know what that entails. Seems like a cosmetic operation on the dying patient if you ask me.
You dudes act like the game is dead and is not mass amounts of fun. Some competition would be great… and didnt the developers say there was going to be some sort of clan system online at one point? Well either way just an idea to add a bit of a spark to the game…no need to shoot it down
That’s because it’s true.
ESL are currently hosting a tournament with prize money. 8 teams signed up, 4 are actually playing. In other words: Even if people get paid to play Brink, they refuse. There is no point making a ladder, because noone will play it.

He is on PS3, which isn’t as dead as PC.
I guess Bethesda would have access to player stats to determine if those changes would be financially viable. “Isn’t as dead as” doesn’t instill confidence

is there an entry fee?
Must be motivated to reinstall game.
re-install ? brink on ps3 <<<
PC only kiddo. Console competitions take place in that forum thread where that 5 year old calls everyone bad.
I hav to put it out there that it is extremely tough to get a good group of 8 ppl for some 4v4 action ( on ps3 )…
A tournament of at least 4 teams is a completely different ballgame, unfortunately

Usually when I’m on PC the only servers are with bots, objective, FF off. Today, there was a stopwatch, no bots, FF on room which was cool. But we were in warmup for like 45 minutes trying to tell two players to Ready Up, but they didn’t understand. When we did get a game going, it was clear that half of the people were playing for the first time.
I really miss those no bots, FF on games on PS3.
Still love this game though.

Where have you been? yesterday was the first time i couldnt find a good game to play in… but i did log on at a bizarre hour
Yea, PC is pretty much dead. Last night at 23:00 CET there were less then 130 players on. And
16 of them were playing on 1/16 servers.
Yea, I’m mostly playing on PC, because with my new work schedule, its more difficult to find living room time for PS3. If the clan update is cool, I will definitely team up with you, Junky, suzukimethod, Muters, Seacliffer, etc. and take on whatever challengers we can get.
running a ladder system via the developers website with tournaments that are not based of cash prizes would hopefullyattract the gamers whom were interested in the game play that in my opinion lived up to what i was expecting from the begining on Brink.

this is what I don’t get. There are few enough people, but they regroup in 2 or 3 servers only and the rest play 2-3 people on separate servers…
Common sense dictates that in crisis times you regroup. Unless they like to play with bots (!!)
Noticed also many new players recently (Security tower after 1rst obj, all defense was still near Wall, I was the only one to defend the hack, hack + delivery took place before defense realized there was nothing to do at the wall…)
There is no common sense in the video game industry nor among the players that prop it up.
Thats good to hear Tango
Seacliffer & I will be offline for quite a while still, but we will both return someday
