A few questions

(Rubbaduren) #1

Probably going to buy this game, but I have some questions:

How many players play in XBOX live, is it easy to find multiplayer games?
(For now, I dont care about how easy it is to find a GOOD game, the lag issues will probably be fixed)

Is Brink losing players because of the poor state the multiplayer was in, shortly after launch?
(It would be sad if the game turns out to be great, with the only problem beeing few online players)

Would you guys recommend the game?
(Have been reading some reviews, hating on forums and such. Seems that the ones complaining mostly is people judging the game as if it was MW3)

  1. can’t comment
  2. from what I see, yes
  3. As PC player, I say yes, I let a 360 player answer, it’s likely to be different :frowning:

as a 360 player:

i seem ppl all the time…but i’ve yet to find a FULL 8v8 game.

maybe…hard to tell. i have more and more of my firends joining though.

yes, i would. it really seems like a few, MINOR fixes and this game will go from being “pretty damn good” to “friggin awesome”

Overall, it’s a game worth getting if you’re looking for something different from the usual online Shooter…so basically, yeah I’d recommend it for the 360…it may have it’s problems, but it’s still fun as hell…

Thanks, was probably going to buy it anyway! but if the players playing it now was under the impression that it was a game going downhill, I would probably spend my money on something else

From a 360 user-

  1. yes. As you said , lag will get fixed but it is easy enough to find a mostly real-people team. Although in fairness I’ve only found 2 full 16 player games without lag thus far

  2. from what I’ve read brink is losing people who didn’t understand that they were picking up a classs based objective game (read: cod team deathmatchers)

  3. I’ve recommended it to everyone I know who enjoys competetive games (so yes)

If I were you I’d wait till the lag is sorted out(if ever) before buying.
I like the game but it’s just not worth full asking price on the 360
And this is coming from someone who really does like what the game can be, but at its best its a 8/10 game with a lag fix and I am being generous.

(H3LLS1) #9

maybe it’s cuz i’m playing open campain mode or something…but i RARELY run into lag. hell, my CoD MW2 has more lag issues…and that game has been out forever

disclaimer: i bring up CoD MW2 only because it’s another online game i play and because it’s been out a while. in no way am i comparing this to CoD*

Of course you don’t buy the game on 360. The launch buyers are all suckers. I’m one of them.

Hopefully they can fix the lag, but I think that’s going to be a monumental task since this game didn’t have even the most basic and standard console design implemented. Now they need to fix P2P they couldn’t figure out for 3 years? Right.

Oh, and if you don’t have any friends who have the game, good luck running with randoms. If you do have friends, good luck getting them into a game with you.

Other than those little problems, yeah, buy this game.

Probably picking the game up in start-mid june, and after what i’m hearing, they are releasing a DLC for free. Perhaps wait until after thats released and check out the forums
