A few questions about publishing,requirements and etc.

First of all hi there, and let me apologise for mine bad orthography. I still working on it, so its in progress lol

The question that worrys me is: who will publish (what regional publisher, more sharply) game at the post-soviet union terretory ( 4 advice it calls СНГ now)? And what prise (approximate in retail trade) should expect for PC platform?
And the lastone: how far Splash Damadge and Bethedsa cooperate with Valve and Steam? Should expect that PC version of Brink will be avaible only on this service? (should say that Steam is mine favorite service, and i’d prefered see Brink only on him. Not o lagged GfW or anything else).

And the real last thing (such anough questions for one topic, huh?): what about sys. requirements? I know that Brink uses moded version of ID’s D3 engine. So it will prefer ATi-AMD as well?

Regarding Steam, the game will require Steam in order to play but you can buy the game both from Steam and on disc from a real shop, I’m not sure about other digital retailers though.

I was under the impression that idtech4 doesn’t work as well on ati than on nvidia, but I’m no expert on such things.

I mean that ID engine operate with Open GL Librarys, not with DirectX.

As u can noticed the difference between me and basil that i’m don’t suggest smthn. I’m working in gaming industry (sales) and got concrete questions.

The game does indeed use OpenGL, but it runs better on nvidia cards. I don’t know the exact performance difference, but ATI cards have some bugs. Most notably is off-screen rendering(when you render higher than current screen resolution), which causes transparent effects to flip view(sniper scope, heathaze) and such. I do hope they fixed that as they did with screenshots in 1.5(Wolf, based on etqw 1.4 has this bug).

Yes the game should be released at the same time everywhere. Of course some stores give the copies away slightly earlier and such, but it’s a steam game so they have to wait to activate.

Release date is not announced yet, and the publisher in Russia too, but i bet on 1C.
