A few people seems to be having this error...

Hello guys, recently made my purchase of Brink and Im getting this sdsoundsystemcommandqueue error that some people seems to be getting =)

So, I fire up the game from Steam, made my character (by the way, the game runs very well, I was surprised since most people complained about frame-rate, sound issues), watched some tutorial stuff, and decided to try to play the first mission of the campaign before firing up online. I get through about 5-10 minutes in and I get this error message:

well, it was on the bottom of that little script window anyway. So, I go ahead and googled it and realized that all of them are unsolved. So I went online and checked the fixes, enabling console, installing the ATI hotfix, updating sound driver, graphics card driver, running it in admin…

Well, Im still getting the crash, I also noticed that if I restart the computer and play it lasts a little longer maybe less memory was used at the beginning? Anyway, if anyone know a fix to this or any other things I can try, please help! I can assume that Brink updates through Steam so it hasn’t been fixed yet.

Thanks for any tips!

Could it be related to the memory then ? What is your sound card ? How much memory do you have ? Is your power consumption matching what your power block can deliver ? How are the temperatures in your loadout (mobo, cpu, gpu, etc) ? Do you have any peripherals connected besides keyboard and mouse ?

Strange “mouse” error in the middle of these seemingly “sound” related error… that’s why I thought maybe of power micro-shortage or something, and not a simple mobo or soundcard driver update issue. Or maybe corrupted soundfiles during install or from damaged DVD, that can’t be read properly or installed properly…

Tried reinstalling the game I guess ?

Hi Dergyll, thanks for posting.

Can you post a DxDiag please?

Hey guys,

Thanks alot for taking the time to help me!

Its quite long (I ran the 64bit), so I attached it to a separate txt file. Had to separate it into 2 files since there is a forum limit of 19.5kb -_-

Any pointers is greatly appreciated!!

Derg

EDIT: I didnt get an error or anything during installation…and reinstalling it (I did it twice, it doesnt take very long thanksfully) doesnt seem to help…

Anybody?? =(

Perhaps I should wait for a new Catalyst to come out, maybe that’ll fix this problem…

11.8 is officially out and its still no better.

I’m beginning to think that this game will never be 100% on ati cards.

[QUOTE=Dergyll;372307]Anybody?? =(

How many times have you had this crash?
