a FEW criticism for the game in general

  1. so… hacking and scripting… we know that a bigger reason this game has lost a chunk of the base is because people on all media complained that it was pay to win … and it came to that. so oddly maybe doing like planetside 2 does and making say every two weeks aka with the rotation you can double the money amount per match on the weekend or do what CS:GO with overwatch. anyway you put it unless you make the 3 events you can do better or make by or monthly challenges its going to only get make stagnant.

  2. classes… now we all know aura is a pain with a shotgun like proxy and phantom even after the nerf still one shots with melee out of cloak… i know you guys are working hard on more mercs and maybe maps , but id ask you guys to sit back for a good few weeks and watch matches pubs do and see what they are saying first hand.

  3. now as for the game itself… its good but slapping beta on everything after the closed beta and the year long beta does NOT make up for were making more mercs so we will say its beta… most people in and on the pc space fear the word beta now a days keeping this game in beta only brings more hate and vigor to the broad.

  4. matchmaking… hard one here to say but its crap in so many peoples eyes from the way it picks matches… aka throws you into the first match it can ranked or not ranked. which in my eye is sloppy id rather wait and get a good lobby wit people around my skill level then get a team thats whipped so fast or just overkill and fell like shit for it.

5.grind… he games grind is alright but i fear the people that came to play this where after a less grind and more fun. the games great but it isnt CoB or BF where it has years of followers behind it,

so this is a few rant / ideas hope it helps and what not but unlike most people i loved brink and still play and this is where brink would have turned into in one way or other and one day this will hit the e sports.

also take what i say with a grain of salt. Its a criticism.

Yet again we have a post in these forums from someone who wants this game specifically tailored to their benefit. There’s just no good content here it’s always someone posting of how they want changes to the game because they suck at certain challenges. It’s a first fucking person shooter, competitive game. All of the issues that you have, I don’t have. Maybe its because I got used to losing and learned from experiences and challenges and then got better. And also I don’t have this sense of ENTITLEMENT where I think an entire game should be changed SPECIFICALLY for ME.

Let’s not forget your #1, How in the entire fucking world is this game pay to win?! What is going on here?

#2 We know your opinion doesn’t matter when you have to complain about Phantoms.

#3 So you’re suggesting that the reason we don’t have more players is because DB is currently in BETA. Well no shit.

#4 How many changes does DB have to make to MM for everyone to be satisfied? It’s like people want fairness and balance in a competitive RANKED platform of this game keyword: ranked. The only way “fairness and balance” can happen is that no one wins, if there aren’t match results and if there aren’t ranks. Because there’s always going to be the better team, as I stated before. Take your losses as lessons and learn from them. It’s not a new science. You’re just entitled. You feel like you deserve an easier shot to be better than others.

#5 Why do you need to grind in a FPS game? This isn’t WoW or another MMORPG nor does it take long to get the things that you need.

This isn’t a rant this is a proclamation of your sense of entitlement in life.

Kingsley is right. I can tell you from running in DBN pugs that Kingsley is an amazing player, and most of the good players in this game have a work around every single challenge you place against them, unless it’s something as unbalanced as a skill-crutch merc of shotguns.

Instead of trying to tailor the game around your expectations and skill, try and improve. It’s the nature of a competitive FPS such as this one.

Compared to pretty much any other f2p game out there, grind in the DB is nonexisting. Earning creds is extremely easy.
And considering amount of mercs, for beta, balance is rather good.

Personally, I kind of appreciate it when people tell me the reason instead of just downvote/dislike/flag/etc… that way I can learn/improve/see other points of view. But that’s just me.

hmmm how id feel honestly… i could care less man i put this out there knowing id get hate… but this is why i say get rid of it. it seems i did wrong since the game is near perfect and doesnt need any changes or ideas. so my bad.

Here’s the thing, suggesting ideas is good.
But then you’ll have to deal with the inevitable criticism of an idea that you spent max 3 minutes thinking over.
That is how ideas work, always.
Ideas that can incorporate criticism turn out to be actually good ideas.

You put out your opinion and you knew people might disagree. That’s a part of normal debate. Even if you have amazing ideas that most people will agree with and consider brilliant there will be people who will disagree. When people disagree you should instead read what they have to say and see if it’s valid. If it is you might actually change your own opinion on a topic and if it’s not you can explain why it’s not and continue the debate.

What you’re instead trying to do here is be upset that not everyone is falling in line with what you’re saying and instead of processing the response to further refine your own viewpoints you instead are trying to bury it in “i could care less” and other sarcastic statements about the game being perfect (nobody said it was).

Your views aren’t going to be popular because a lot of them seem like they are from the perspective of a person who hasn’t put as much time in playing. Nor taken the time to fully flesh out their thoughts on the stated subjects. Your points read like a person who wants to try to get something easy/easier as opposed to somebody who truly believes what they are saying. Hence the negative responses.

My advice is take the responses you’ve gotten and then think about what you’re trying to say. See if what you said here actually makes sense in regards to the game and all the players not you wanting to get something easy or change something you dislike as opposed to it being OP etc. etc. A negative response is sometimes the most helpful thing a person can get because it will make them evaluate what they have done or at least shore up their logic behind doing it.

Sorry, got a bit preachy.

The main reason this game doesn’t have more players is bad publicity and bad reviews that should be removed from the internet.

Go on Steam—>Store—>Dirty Bomb—>Scroll down to reviews—>Most Helpful—>Old Reviews stating that the game is P2W or full of hackers and other problems.

These old reviews need to be deleted or something by Steam because they’re all just simply incorrect at this point. I understand that back in June/July there were problems with hackers, but now, they’re not nearly as common.

Also, bullshit reviews like the one from that clown, “Angry Joe” are another reason why this game isn’t getting that playerbase it should have. I actually watched his review and it was atrocious. The guy seemed to just be dumb to be honest. Everything he said made no sense and was wrong. Every criticism he had of the game was simply incorrect, like they weren’t even opinions. It’s the well-known morons that pushed some people away from this game along with the irritating Steam reviews.

I’m not sure if Nexon/Splash Damage can get Steam to review those reviews or at least take away the “helpfulness” and lower them down so they aren’t the first thing people see when they look at the reviews! There are just straight negative reviews right now which have probably turned away tons of interested players.

Oh crap, they’re back. It didn’t look this bad even when I was starting playing around July. Then a few months later I check the top reviews and they were 100% positive. Now this… ugh.
