For my style of play and what I do it’s damn near perfect.[/QUOTE]
The problem is you’re seen as a ‘hater’ if you don’t feel the same way as those that love it.
My point was more about the communities here and at the bethesda boards. I have never seen a community around a game with as much negative post in my life. When normal people don’t like something they usually go to the forums where they DO like something.
You just said yourself that you’re a long time player of SD mods and games, makes sense that a few are. I’m here for the users, the discussions and the general banter… I’m not here to discuss a single subject, but regardless of my stance on Brink, it’s certainly caused some interesting debates. This whole ‘if you don’t like it gtfo’ stance is utter nonsense. Again a few users were brought here purely because of Brink, and for some reason think that’s why we’re all here, and anyone should leave if they don’t like Brink.
And then there’s the hating on the console gamers. If you could play BRINK on the XBox I’d bet you would be surprised how good it really is. I played the PC version on the free weekend on Steam and while I liked the ability to have screenshots and console commands with custom configs they movement and aiming was horrible when compared to ETQW so I think you opinion is based most likely on your experience in the PC version. On the 360 I have zero complaints myself.
That puts you in the unique position where you can see the PC players POV, a couple of the console players on here have a good experience with the console version and automatically expect it to be good on the PC… and somehow can’t comprehend why it’s not, so as soon as something negative is said they immediately jump on the defensive.
To counter your point, I don’t see why those that love the game stick around on the ‘haters’ threads and provide nothing towards the discussion and help derail it.
