No offense, but if you want a good 1 on 1 map, why dont YOU make it. Instead of telling others what to do, how about you get the tools, and make what you think is a good 1 on 1 map?
EDIT: And yes I read you lack the skill to map, but that is more reason to start. A box is not too hard, and this forum has tons of resources.

Actually, I think the better idea is a map along the lines of arena_btest1 which was a map with an arena in which people could fight 1 v 1, 2 v 2, etc. Spectators could watch from the bleacher section outside and be protected from explosions and gun fire. A controller operated a set of doors that dropped simultaneously to let combatants enter the arena
