7th December Dev Stream Round-Up [BUG SQUISHING SPECIAL!]

(Faraleth) #1

Remember, as always, unless specifically stated as confirmed, please take everything with a grain of salt.

Were you aiming to find out something else? Was there something that you’re turtley dying to ask? Check out the FAQ here: http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/17544/dev-nexon-stream-faq

Bug Stuff:

[ul]
[li] Unlikely to see a fix for weapon stats “soon”, such as the mini-gun and REVIVR not showing up in the profile screen. It would be an easy fix to wipe them and have them correct, but they want to allow everyone to have their stats from day-1, so a full fix might take a while.
[/li][li] When reporting a bug, if you are able to record the bug via video footage it makes logging the bugs much quicker, and thus this means they can be fixed quicker.
[/li][li] Giving details such as map, location, what merc you were playing, what the circumstances were, etc. helps get bugs get fixed and located quicker.
[/li][li] They used to run “automated testing” such as performance checks, although these were scrapped when Nexon began running smoke-tests prior to each release. Smoke-tests are basically checking that all the functions work as intended.
[/li][li] If you have a bug report and post on the subreddit /r/DirtyBomb you can tag /u/Naxxarus and Naxxus will check out the report.
[/li][li] The “random key unbinding” has not been reported for a while, so if it’s still happening you are encouraged to report it.
[/li][li] Naxxus will look into the bug where the Aura healing unit glow remaining even when the unit is destroyed.
[/li][li] Explosives not affecting targets on MG’s has been “improved”, although they still won’t do any damage if they hit directly on the front. The hit-boxes have been made smaller.
[/li][/ul]

Possible Changes/Updates:

[ul]
[li] There is a “potential fix” for the mission’s not refilling in the next update. Naxxus said “don’t quote me on this”, so I quoted him.
[/li][li] There should be a “fix” in the next update that prioritises defusing the C4 instead of helping someone up if they are laying over it.
[/li][li] The T-pose bug will be fixed in the next update.
[/li][li] Some back-end fixes have “just gone in” and will be in the next update in regards to players warping.
[/li][/ul]

Extra Info:

[ul]
[li] Guest: Naxxus - Associate Production Tester
[/li][li] Jesse bribed Splash Damage with some wonderful Swedish sweets.
[/li][li] One of them may have been anthrax. At least Naxxus kept a straight face while eating it.
[/li][/ul]

Enjoy… Until next time! #roundup
