Not saying that it needs to be nerfed or anything, but Skybro’s airstrike has almost 2x cooldown (70 vs 40 seconds) which means you have 2 laser strikes for 1 drone strike. Sure, the drone strike does more damage, but it is overkill unless you throw it on the EV at full HP, while the laser also kills any mercanary, but it is more available.

Also the laser is more fun to use, but that is subjective

I kinda feel like the laser is far harder to use, especially since a Kira can aim it right behind a merc and just drag it forward. It’d be nice if it at least had more noticeable sound and laser designation particle.

Skyhammer has the flare itself, the flare detonation, the laser on the ground, and the incoming bomber all as warning signs.

That’s neither here nor there, though. Any more ideas for 3rd gen cards? I wouldn’t mind seeing a Fire Support with a sub-machine gun or shotgun but maybe that should wait until a new merc.

I would pay real money for a fire support merc with Grandeur SR (although I have enough credits to buy 2 mercanaries).
I like Grandpa and all, but I notice myself often playing him only because of the Grandeur, not his abilities.

his abilities enhance your perception while using grandeur
pretty neat

you also get to see thru smoke

From what I’ve been reading on the forums, that’s probably because the Grandeur is kind of overpowered.

By the way, anyone notice there’s no medics or engineers with assault rifles? There’s relatively few people with machine pistols too, and nobody with rifles+machine pistols.

I’m hoping Turtle will have assault rifles and machine pistols but I somehow doubt it.

No, but in all seriousness, I’d love to see new loadout cards for all the mercs, but I fear that if you switch up too many things at once, the game might become a bit of a clusterf*ck.

It’s one thing to give a merc a new melee weapon, it’s completely different thing giving a merc a new class of weapons to use (Aimee with shotgun, etc.) as it can possibly disturb the whole balance of the game.
That said, I do agree that unique weapons should stop being a thing, I’m just not sure if giving Fragger the MK46 is a great idea.

In conclusion, I would enjoy seeing mercs with different weapons and percs, but you’d have to be really careful with what weapons and mercs you’re messing with.

So much credits piled up, so little to spend on…

After unlocking all mercs, and all of their 9 possible loadouts in various rarities, there’s really nothing to buy. Unless someone’s a cobalt enthusiast.
