It’s actually pretty amazing how many people have been spewing false information on the DB subreddit. I’ve corrected people a fair few times and they even try to defend their false statements.

The prox I got was a KE12, same as gen 2, but it is a decent loadout so I don’t see why it would have changed anyways.
Hurry up and wait for gen 3, no worries, my cases will still keep piling up till they release.
My guess is they’ll go live once the Final Assault event is wrapped on 8/22.

Your comment made is seem like you were saving cases to open them for gen 3 cards. If that’s the case i just said the gen 2 cases you save now won’t change to gen 3 cases. If you’re saving cases for the fun of it go ahead.

That’s how it’s worked since the game started, gen one cases are still a thing if you’ve saved them, event eguipment case won’t change after an event and so on. And it’s not been a problem with the community so i highly doubt they’ll change that now.

Shouldn’t it be obvious from the 2nd edition logo on the cases? The “(II)” on them is not just some random decoration, it’s the same logo that appears in the top left of 2nd edition loadout cards (as opposed to the “(I)” that’s on the 1st edition ones).
Also the game files still have a distinct picture for 1st edition cases, so they appear to be two different things.
