(blad3) #1

Hello

anyone knows where to download the plugin for 3ds max 9 that would operate the mdx file? or mdm?

Thanks

back in time, i tried maaaany of them. they are all bugged. i suggest using milkshape.

yup … its a mess … afaik the last working one is for version 6 or 7 … so i also suggest you to use milkshape (gmax should be working too)

Except that does not support gmax mdx / mdm: /

Unless it is a plugin

can any1 tell me how you make a working mdm/mdx with ms3d?!
i m sure that this NOT work

the only programm to make mdm/mdx is lightray3d - and this tool is only useful for that (in my eyes)

how to change the position of the selected vertices in the picture …

sorry i cannot see anything on that screenshoot
but normally you have to select the skinpart and choose edit verticles - then choose your verticles and bind them to another bone.
if you want to change the model itself you have to make it to mesh edit it and rebind it to the bones -
but
you have to do that on the right frame - i call it always zero frame - dunno the right word

You must surely be talking about the T position of the animation, you can find it on several times of the animation, I got two keyframes having this: 32 and 4038 ^^

(IndyJones) #11

oh, my mistake, i was sure you are talking about md3 files, not mdx/mdm…

Hi

anyone knows how to edit the movements of the skeletal animation? I can not deal with that: /

Thanks

(ischbinz) #13

i tried this once - but i got stuck with the names of the frame groups -
means i was able to edit the animation with lightray3d -
but i was not able to run the new ones with et - becaus i dunno how to edit the names :frowning:

I was on the verge of scripting an import and export script for mdm and mdx into Blender. But I have yet to start or look into it much.

(blad3) #15

You can not times changed lightray 3d animation just skin and md3 models. A skeletal animation can not advice: /

(ischbinz) #16

you can change animations in lightray - but i think the mdx exporter is crappy -
if you import a mdx - export it without changes - and import it again - all frames are gone :frowning:
