im not sure if this is agianst the forum rules

but if anyone has 1 they are holding onto and havent used or just want to sell tell me and name your price

i want the greeneye as its a real acog scope. acog scopes were created so you would keep both eyes open not fully look down a scope

Fear the Green Eye Scope.

(deusex2) #3

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t scec ops a steam only pre-order? Aside from that, there’s no way in hell I’m giving my away  Even though I hate the fact that there’s no red dot, but plain black marking which gets confusing whenever big recoil get involved.

Walmart Preorder too!

(deusex2) #5

IT DOESN’T MATTER WHICH OTHER STORE GAVE IT!

It still is too darn awesome to give it away

(Lookinglass) #6

Wish I had the Psycho one. Those soda can silencers look ace.

Very true.

Yup, the Spec Ops is the best of the pre-order bonuses, just because of the Green Eye scope. It is the only unique weapon/attachment in any of the DLCs.

(iezza) #9

it was THE best in uk cos GAME gave you it with the DOOM pack aswell, epic awesomeness.

(Lookinglass) #10

This. Got my Spec Ops/Doom Special Edition pack for £24.99 with a bonus 1000 reward points (about £2.50 off a future purchase) in GAME UK. Was well pleased.

(Aristotle) #11

Yeah I wouldn’t mind the Doom/Fallout packs for the PC, but if you try to go to walmart you may find the spec ops code there its al bout security.

I got my Spec Ops pack for PC there and I didn’t preorder it. Just check to see if any of their games have the ā€œDO NOT SELL BEFORE 5/10/2011ā€ on it… then you talk them into giving it to you and that you’re still shopping, then uh, get the spec ops code out of it :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s where I bought my game, but I almost bought another copy because the local FRY’S Electronics here has copies from when the game first game out still with the do not sell sticker on them, but when I asked one of the employee’s if they had any of the packs they said their copies didn’t.

It is quite unbalanced that there is no Greeneye scope equivalent that shipped with Brink. HUGE oversight on SD’s part.

(TailSwallower) #13

I just want the Fallout tattoos… Hadn’t really paid much attention to the Spec Ops pack, 'cause it looked very Security-ish, and I prefer the dirtiness of the Resistance.

(deusex2) #14

Uh, dude…It’s a pre-order bonus. ā€œThinks twice before you buy something,ā€ is all that I can say…errrr…in a good kind of way

(Glyph) #15

Uh, dude, SD said themselves that every non-appearance pre-order bonus would be available in the game in another form, i.e. that the pre-order items would simply mimic the stats of an in-game item. That is not the case, well, more correctly that is not the case for the Greeneye Scope but it is the case for every other non-appearance pre-order item. See the problem now?

The idea was to not have pre-orders affect the overall balance of Brink. This was not the result however.

EDIT: Online shooters with early access to items are bad enough. Providing exclusive items is another issue entirely; one that completely ruins any balance in the game.

EDIT_2: And for the record, I’m fine with keeping the Greeneye Scope exclusive, just like my Tactical Silencer is exclusive. The problem is that the in-game Silencer is exactly the same as the one I got as a pre-order, just as the weapon skins are identical to the in-game versions of other weapons. So where is the in-game version of the Greeneye Scope?

(thesuzukimethod) #16

is the greeneye scope that much of an advantage? (honest question, not rhetorical)

(Glyph) #17

It is basically a C-U-gone RDS with the zoom of a COGA scope. It also has a much faster weapon equip speed. So yes, it is that much of an advantage as it does not obstruct your peripheral vision or slow down your weapon swap speed while still providing the zoom of a COGA scope.

EDIT: Here’s a video showing the Greeneye scope in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmHygYPThH0.

(Super-Pangolin) #18

I reckon they’ll release Spec-Ops and Psycho as DLC later. Doesn’t seem fair to hold these kinds of things from the community forever. I <3 my Greeneye, and I want all to know it’s joy… the problem with that though is that if everybody had access to it, the COGA would become redundant.

(its al bout security) #19

any one want to find it for me and tell me how much it is?? or sell it to me??

(TailSwallower) #20

Someone on eBay Australia is selling one for $5AUD. Not sure if the DLCs are region-locked though…
