360 Controller support on PC

Hi all. According to this interview with Paul Wedgewood, Brink is playable on PC with a 360 controller.

“Sometimes, we would play with a 360 controller connected to PC. Other times we would play with mouse and keyboard, just depending on what we felt like. But we had this very definite vision from the beginning that we would be platform agnostic.”

That is an article from today.

However in this thread here, http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24240, the Splash Damage employee says that controllers are not “officially supported”

Will I be able use my 360 controller on Brink, just plug and play? Or will I have to mess with console commands and how would I go about doing that anyways?

It’s pretty disingenuous to say in the interview that you can use the 360 controller, than on the forums say that it isn’t “officially supported”.

You may find your question more suitable to be asked in this thread: http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24240
Saves starting a new topic for every little question (especially when there is already a recent and active thread for it)

If you read what I posted, you would see that I already referenced that thread. It is a point of confusion for me. That thread says one thing and the interview from Paul Wedgewood is saying another. I want to get the PC version of Brink, but I won’t if I can’t use a controller.

I am surprised I even have to ask this question the day before release. Information like this should be in a sticky somewhere. The other thread is offering confusing information, but I will post there as well and hope to God my question gets answered. Thanks for your help and your patience Mustang.
