(360) Aim assist

Does aim assist get forced to off for free play or can people use it in any mode?

Edit: And I decided to look for myself and yes it is on, can this be disabled in anyway please? It really makes for an uneven playing field since the auto aim in this is ridiculously magnetic…

Thoughts?

While it does offer a pretty serious crutch for new players i think for experts it really doesn’t matter having it on or off. Personally i keep it off because i hate my reticule following some random guy when a group of enemies get together.

Honestly i dont think its game breaking, just a little help for new players getting the hang of the game.

Auto-aim should be removed from every game. The original purpose was so in game where free look was non existent or done by pg up and dwn. It doesn’t need to be around at all. As for new players, thats what single player is for (sorry).

LOL Null never play section 8. They have a lock on in that game that would probably send you through the roof.

In my opinion it gets in the way more than it helps. I honestly don’t get why its such a big deal. If you like it then use it, if you dont like it dont use…lol…what more is there?

If your gonna try and use the argument that it gives an unfair “advantage” to players that use it then turn it on to give yourself the “advantage”. Its hardly an advantage too, last time i had it on i got pissed off because my cross hairs would keep drifting when i was aiming at people. Srsly there are much more important aspects of this game that need attention.

For consoles some level of AA seems necessary due to a controller’s inability to match the precision of a mouse and keyboard. But AA can at times be annoying. In some situations while playing Black Ops it actually clued me in on the presence of an enemy…behind cover. I wouldn’t have known they were there otherwise. And based on my experience with Brink so far, the AA feels a bit sticky at times.
