I did read the thread. I know in borderlands, when you respecc, you sell it all back. I am not sure if Brink does the same thing, or if you can pick which abilities you want to sell back. I think you are saying you respec by dropping back a level, and therefore cancelling your latest ability purchase. I am wondering if you can respec more than one ability/level, of you can only go back one level.

Say I get to level 10. Can I sell back three abilities, and drop back three levels?

98% sure that when you lose a level you can change all of your abilities around. Have to find Exedore’s confirmation quote on respeccing, which was the first time anyone mentioned giving up a level. Back in a minute with the quote…

EDIT: And we’re back!

Credits for abilities are one per level, and there is no trial period. Abilities can be completely reset for the hefty price of subtracting one whole level.

Why the assumption that it is limted to only one coin for each level gained?

One coin = one credit.

I don’t think its going to work like that. That would be just too much punishment for respeccing. I think its gonna be like Borderlands but instead of money, its just 1 level of xp.

Oooh I missed that ! Thought that you’d have to choose one ability to cancel and win back your level to assign one ability point… but having the possibility to completely change your load-out only by “losing” one level (and one point) sounds better !
