3 monitors eyefinity bug - mirror instead of expanded

(bigf1sch) #1

When I launch Brink in eyefinity I get my game mirrored in 3 different screens rather the game expanding across all three.

Just me or are others experiencing this? I have the new AMD drivers.

I just made a post questioning this.

Looks like there is no Eyefinity support in this game. The highest resolution we can hit at the moment is 1920x1200 for single monitor.

(bigf1sch) #3

That makes me a sad panda. Hopefully they’ll add support. It should at least render in one monitor if eyefinity is activated instead of 3.

(Pel1can) #4

Same. Lets keep this thread up at the top then.

(Nail) #5

afaik, D3 engine doesn’t support multi monitors correctly

(bigf1sch) #6

I’m noticing that Crossfire also doesn’t work with this game. That’s a major wtf.

(Amon Amarth) #7

Wow.

Are you positive about that? I assume you have tried using something that displays the FPS? I ask because starting tomorrow, I’ll actually be going SLI.

(Amon Amarth) #8

Bumping to keep the thread up

(cheetcheetah) #9

Well either I’ll get a refund or i just flushed fifty bucks. Last time I will ever buy a game without a demo. To not have eyefinity support in a modern game? come on guys. That is just silly.

(Übiquitous) #10

bump for justice or at least the ability to run 2560x1600 windowed.

(deepnoizer) #11

That is terrible and shows that it did not even cross anyones mind to test it …
Fine you don’t want to support eyefinity but making me disable it or turn off monitors to play? you kidding me !
no crossfire support? forums full of people that can’t even run it? this sounds like this game was never in any type of beta

(Amon Amarth) #12

I didn’t see that one coming. I would have thought windowed mode in higher than console standard resolutions would be possible…

Yes I arrived at similar conclusion. For the game to perform this crappy in that type of setup means they never actually tested this game that thoroughly.

This is sad and makes me pissed off.

I really want to like the game but the support of it is so off. There’s no word from the devs either regarding this issue and that’s incredibly frustrating. How come no one is talking to us?

(Pel1can) #14

Any response to this? Config tweaks to make this possible?

(Amon Amarth) #15

So those who are looking for a Surround/Eyefinity solution, please go to this thread here:
http://gamers-underground.com/action-fps/34662-brink-tweaks-fixes.html

Just ignore the part in that post that mentions to create an autoexec file. Just use wordpad to edit the brinkconfig file and you should be good to go.

For Nvidia users, SLI can be fixed here:

I’ve went into the Nvidia Control Panel, and enabled the SLI Visual Indicator, and the green bars where moving properly. So SLI should be good I believe.

Not certain about CrossFire for ATI users, Splash Damage may need to address it, or AMD, or both.

I’d like to also mention that I seem to be getting a strange stuttering issue with this game. It’s not Microstutter, since all my games run fine. Not sure if it’s the Surround, or the SLI, but it feels like the game is rather on the choppy side. I’m getting 40 FPS most of the time, so it’s not that. But the surround is indeed working, aside from the HUD not being centered.

(Pel1can) #16

Thank you SO much. Any tips on turning off mouse accel?

(Amon Amarth) #17

Sorry, not sure. I imagine someone will need to look for something in the brinkconfig file for it.
