News:
- The update will “likely not” be this week, as it is looking more likely to be next week.
- The next update will “obviously include balance changes, and things like that”. No specifics right now.
- There is “a lot of big, cool stuff in the works”. There are no details on this at all I am afraid (I can assume they are referring to more mercs, Dome and execution), and all of these are coming “soon, very soon”.
- There will most likely be another event this weekend! – What do you all think it will be?!
- Question: It won’t be another execution weekend, will it? – “I can’t answer that, I’m afraid.”
- Question: Will the next update contain a merc, even if you can’t say who it will be? – “Can’t answer that either.” (Looks like whatever’s coming soon is even more of a “surprise” then usual… lol, sorry!)
- Australia will have MORE servers! And some are being repurposed (ie. The unused “min level 5” servers have been turned into normal servers).
- Parties are being worked on! They know this is very much needed.
- There will be a wallpaper contest coming very soon! The grand prize is… a Dirty Bomb branded 16gb iPad air!
Possible changes/updates:
- Seems like there will NOT be any form of “trade down” now. They must be coming up with some other “solution” to the useless cobalt’s problem.
- Red-Eye is “being discussed and worked on”. I guess he might have some love in the near future.
- There will definitely be new weapons in the future (aside from those that are ability weapons).
- Arty and Kira getting indoor functionality is not a “high priority”, however it has definitely been noted and will be worked on, just don’t expect it in a near-future update.
- Question: Could we ever see a forfeit vote for comp matches? – “That could certainly be a possibility.” Doesn’t sound like it’s been discussed, but could easily be implemented if people wanted it.
- There will DEFINITELY be more limited edition Obsidian cards in the future – however, the founders ones will NEVER be given away again.
- It is likely we will be given something special for participating in open beta, similar to the closed beta card rewards.
