2 Star Be More Objective solo nearly impossible with Light body type

(Kingcole225) #1

Okay I just spent an hour trying to beat Be More Objective 2 star solo with the light body type and it is pissing me off. You can claim that I’m just bad, but before you do listen to what I have to say: The first two objectives are easy; I did them in around 2 minutes. But when it comes around to the Operative mission it suddenly becomes impossible. With the light body type you rely on speed and hit and run tactics, but that doesn’t work in the Operative mission. First you have an unlimited amount of enemies constantly pouring out of their spawn and right in front of the objective. Even when you finally manage to create a break in the spawn where you can place the Hack bot, you have two major problems: First you cannot sprint with the hacking device or you will switch back to your gun and have to return to the hack bot to start again. And second even if you can run to find cover the AI is so incompetent at covering the Hack bot that enemy Engineers simply walk up and defuse the hack. There is absolutely nothing you can do because it only takes around four shots for the enemies to kill you.

Abilities:
Universal:

  • Battle Hardened
  • Sprinting Reload
  • Combat Intuition
    Operative:
  • Standard Operative Kit
  • Firewall Command Post
  • Comms Hack

Weapons:
CARB-9: D-Flex Red Dot Sight, Duct-Taped Magazine, Front Grip, Down Muzzle Break
Sea Eagle: D-Flex Red Dot Sight, Muzzle Break, Rapid Fire

Some of you may be thinking “then just use a different body type”, but I don’t think a game should force you to play a certain way in order to win. It’s not fair to make an option that guarantees a loss in a certain objective.

You kill bots hack 10% and repeat. Push it further if you are daring and use the metal poles in front of you as cover. It is doable as light.

I did it with carb9 and revolver if that makes any difference

Hell, I can’t do it with medium body. Team is useless and enemies keep respawning on the obj before I can hack it (which takes FOREVER).

I tried that but the enemies always manage to dehack it between the breaks

I did it with light body type in one try, after multiple failures with heavy and average.

Hacking objective IS the hardest part, but the simplest way around it is to rush the objectives AS FAST AS POSSIBLE (this means SWITCHING classes at comms stations ASAP in order to save precious seconds), and when you arrive at the hacking objective, PLANT the hack-box, IMMEDIATELY walk around the RIGHT HAND SIDE CORNER to where the comms-station is located and get as close to the hack-box as possible (through the wall). You will hack it quickly; The enemies won’t follow you around the corner because they’re busy with your teammates, and the ENGINEERS CANNOT remove it because you need to be killed/stopped first. The trick is to ALWAYS remain in the hacking-animation once it is planted.

just practice is all i can say… im no pro by any means and it only took me a couple tries at most to complete all 2 star and 3 star challenges.

try killing as many enemies as you can FAST before starting an objective, u can stop the progress of objective any time to clear some more enemies before resuming…

sometimes when there are too many i will throw a grenade to knock as many as i can down then finish them off with a rifle. it works if u time it correctly, i can take out about 4 of them quickly this way.

Wrong. You don’t need to be stopped first which is why this part is so ridiculously hard. I did exactly what you said and got to 35% but then the % started going down and I could hear an Engineer spraying his thang and went over and he was dehacking it. They can stop you mid hack.

(Zekariah) #8

I get what you are saying about being forced to use a different bodytype, but if its to just to get through level 2 of the challenge, do yourself a favor and pick medium. I got it in 3 goes with it.

(Shinta) #9

How can they dehack it when you are shooting them? I literally stand in front of the hackbox and pick off heads and when the wave is dead I hack for a few seconds.

(Kingcole225) #10

I must be fighting different enemies than you because my enemies would kill me in seconds if I stood out in the open. I have tried multiple vantage points (the command center side, the middle side, the aerial view from the top of the structure above the hacking objective) and each time they have managed to take down my health in seconds and I’m forced to retreat.

(SentencedToBurn) #11

Hmm well I usually get it in one go and the engineers never even ATTEMPT to hack it. if they do, try Priming a grenade, running around the corner and knocking them down, regain cover, then pop out and finish off the engineers (OR just knock down the main crowd of enemies, THEN pop out and kill the enginieer…)

Either way, that sucks man it sounds like you’re having a b**** of a time with this mission. Team-AI doesn’t help at all, I agree.

Keep pluggin’ away at it man you’ll get lucky soon.

(SpyCake) #12

Did on my second try… as light, not that hard.

(Jess Alon) #13

I thought it was EASIER as a light. I set a turret and wrecked their day and then switched to operative real quick so I could plant my hack box in peace.

(KaZuK) #14

Only problem i had was having a 30fps cap, so aiming was really hard.

(ju5t_bl4z3) #15

Lol - Me and my friend had it DOWN, playing as engineers we’d lay mines infront of the command post. Helped alot.

Don’t get it twisted though… We still failed lol but it helped. A full squad would be wise.

CTRL+alt+~
bot_minclients 4 //not sure this work in SP though.

Took me a while too. And then I was able to do it easily. It was weird. I didn’t have to cheat. But it’s SP and if you’re not having fun, then I’m ok if you cheat.

(Jamieson) #17

The enemy bots play better the higher you are, I did the mission at lvl 18, its funny actually I started transmitting with 1 second left and went into overtime and did it but it was close. Basiclly I think it is easier if you do it with a lvl 1 character, your weapons and appearances transfer over to your other characters so if you complete it on your low lvl character you should get the weapon unlocks for your main character.

(mundox) #18

I just did it on my first try. Died once. LVL 18.

(DazTroyer) #19

Get up high, kill them and hack as much as possible, rinse and repeat. Two star is harder than 3 star, or at least it was for me. You need a bit of luck in the guise of dumb AI so just keep trying.

Oh, forgot to say kill the medic!

(theorigin) #20

I did it with light body type (even 3star). Just use the chests as cover which stands next to the hacking spot.
