2.5.8 crashing

OK, seems like people are getting crashes in the BSP phase.

If anyone has a map using default Q3 textures (or RTCW or ET) and models, can can reproduce the crash, I’d much appreciate a copy of it to debug this.

Also, if you could run your compiles with the -v switch to emit more information so I can determine if there are in fact more than one place it’s crashing or if it’s just one thing, that’d be great too.

I’ll give it a +v shot as soon as I’ve finished compiling in 2.5.7 …
Interestingly the error is not always there, this morning I could compile the map without any problems. After changing a few brushes (nothing big or relevant) the endmodel error popped up again… Mh.

On another topic :
Recently I can’t seem to make a light compile with 2.5.8. too (well at least now with 2.5.7 it works)… I get a “safe_alloc of xxxx bytes failed” somewhen in the setuptracenodes phase of the light compile (standard et-switches, -fast -samples 2 -filter -external etc.) though I still got loads of free memory (virtual memory though)…
Any idea what could be the cause for this?

I see you mentioning emails. Do you want an email or should I just post it here? And do you want everything q3map2 says as well as the debug?
