I’m attempting to compile my Q3 map using the latest version of Q3Map2 (2.5.6). BSP and VIS do okay, but then when it gets to LIGHT it gets up to this:
Loading G:\quake3\baseq3\maps\MAPNAME.bsp
Loading G:\quake3\baseq3\maps\MAPNAME.srf
Loading G:\quake3\baseq3\maps\MAPNAME.map
Entering G:\quake3\baseq3\maps\MAPNAME.bsp
And then it doesn’t do anything. I’ve waited quite a long time (hours) and it still gets stuck there. For one thing, I don’t remember seeing the last two lines (loading the .map file and entering the bsp file) in a light compile before. I’m compiling it as -light -fast, nothing fancy. Sorry, I don’t have any more information.
The last version of Q3Map2 I was using was 2.5.4, and that compiled light okay, but the entities weren’t fogged so thats why I switched. If I can’t get 2.5.6 to work (assuming 2.5.5 doesn’t work either), I guess I’ll revert back to the previous version I had before 2.5.4–that is 2.3.29.
