1bytes a sec download. Takes a LONG time to update the game.

NB: I had a cursory glance of known issues, couldn’t see this listed (read: didn’t go past first post)

Launcher info (tho not entirely relevant, occurred on all versions so far)

Network	Live
Environment	External
Launcher (Installed)	Build 2069
Launcher (Available)	SVN_2069
Game (Installed)	SVN_22962_External_PC
Game (Available)	CA_23680_External_PC
Region	WORLDWIDE
Presence Online

I consistently get things like 1 byte 4 bytes a sec download. If I leave it on overnight, it might update up to 80% sometimes (of the 2 or 3 times I’ve had to)

My average download speed, out of 5 speedtest.net results over the last month is 4232.25 kB/s

Usually 1seed/1peer

If I bounce through a UK or Swedish VPN I can get a 150kb download speed

If running naked (lul) 30 seconds after I switch off my VPN, back to 1byte or 0…

Without going into too much detail about what security I run on my PC, I’ve tried turning off firewalls and monitoring for testing purposes with no increase in speed…

Is there talk of a HTTP update system?

I’m guessing the Nexon partnership is going to address these kinds of issues… maybe someone can advise how long it will be before a more robust and HTTP serving update system will be in place?

Is there any setting I should check?

Thx

You mention that your connection seems to be having this problem only when you’re doing it on your raw line. Could it be that your ISP has blocked the ports of the launcher? I know some ISPs are really fussy about P2P connections.

The update system is served via HTTP from Amazon Cloudfront servers, in addition to any BitTorrent peers that are available. The transfer happens via an encrypted BitTorrent protocol, but my gut says that you’re probably getting hit by ISP filtering or a router that’s blocking the traffic.
