It is a dual objective map designed for competition play.

Both sides seek to steal oposing documents and get them to a Nuetral Command Post. Whoever controls the Command Post, controls the forward spawn as well.

yeah include the shader. i like those winter textures that are only a little bit snowy. it makes a very cold feeling. :blah:

Idd. I also dont think it suit’s 6v6 compotetion all too well.

30 minuite timelimit?
Defense Biased?

I havn’t had to play it in a scrim, but a 30 minuite dual objective map does not suit compotetion et.

If I understand the 1st post correctly, All you have to do is build cp and steal the docs…
Sounds more straightforward then Radar wich is blow main gate, blow side entrance, Build cp, get east + west and get them to the truck…
Tbh the concept sounds pretty nice and the timelimit will probably be changed to 20 or 15 minutes if it gets into league’s, Oasis is a 30min map but is 20min in Clanbase…

The map is designed so that whoever controls the command post is on offense. I could make it so that whoever gets the command post first is permanently on offense though I like the idea of each team having the option of launching a counter offesive, this leaves more room for strategy.

Each teams documents have 3 access routes:

  1. A team door (for coverts)
  2. A constructable grate that is satchable
  3. A dynomitable door
    Again this leaves a lot of room for strategy.

i played your map 3x times on the m8 betamap server (great thing thx and greets 2 m8d) and i had always good and funny fights. i like the idea with the cp and the objective for both sides.
only thing is when spawning in the castle you could alter one side so you can tell the difference easier.
i made a screeni where you can see the terrain disapear at the horizon. maybe you could block this with some trees or treeline texture or fix it some other way.

Beta 2 should be out within a week, (I’m still working on the AE sniper practive map).

Made some major changes to the axis side, as I had complaints that it was too easy for them to defend.

I added a lot more cover to the fields (trees and stuff) and some fog.

I also re-aranged the central keep to make it easy to tell which side is which.

i just love 1944_siegfried, among the first time I played it at our beta servers the teams were so even the game did continue for almost 2 hours on the map! :eek:
it was fun though and a extremely gg! i have had a lot of gg´s after that aswell that didnt go on for 2 hrs… :wink:
