£150 in a week for CR42 Orginal Operative, funny right?

So yeah, I’m a sucker for skins & cosmetics. I’m cool with that. I also look at it as away to show my support for the game & developers too. Anyhow, crafting week, awesome. I wan’t my first Cobalt. Recycle Thunder, start crafting, only £150 later and yesterday do I realise I can’t actually get the Sawbonez I want! Lol…

R.I.P

I know the feeling, spend 100+ euro for four cobalts I wanted

Yeah I really dunno why they did it the way they did it.

Why couldn’t they just make it so that when you craft a card, you can choose to craft for first or second gen?

Don’t see why it had to be second gen only.

It makes higher rarities of first gen a novelty, what makes my S95 and BL33 so unique is that they are first gen golds, it’s kinda like the trinkets in a way, you got them because you were around when they were available

Atleast you get a full skin. A gun, a smaller gun, and a guy.

Yeah, well thing that threw me was that you can buy all gen cards from store & that when you craft cards, it shows double the same one, just in both colours. That is the part I didn’t notice. Just saw a lot of cards, figured it was all the cards without even thinking 1st & 2nd gen. Pretty annoyed really. I don’t mind supporting a game, I spent like £150 before crafting week (all mercs & store bought loadouts + I bought old alienware/logitech keys and old humble bundle), then another £150 to not even have a chance at getting the card I wanted! LOL =)

You have too much money. But hey, that’s what keeps this game going (I’m level 40, and haven’t spent a cent  The elite cases cost waayyy too much)

I think there should be an ingame message on all servers thanking Phukka for keeping the electricity going for this month ; )

If the visual customization was half on par with what BRINK had, then I would consider spending into it. Right now ? LOL. Also, if yo uare a game designer and serious about teh blingabling of your flock, the least you need is a victory podium to show off to all their unique and paid for look (Overwatched, but several games before, hell, even Rocket league, have this obvious vanity feature).

I just paid for 4-5 mercs at some point, to reach about 20 or 25 quids which represent mroe or less an average price for games, to show my support. The rest I easily farmed (mercs and target bronze loadouts cards). Now I have a ton of credits already here to buy any newcoming merc, plus loads of crates (kept many from previous events, call me a collector hey) that a useless to me to open. It is even more enticing to me to have crates from Dickens, Containement war events etc sitting in my armory, than to bother opening them all and just getting either more junk or mediocre cosmetic tweaks that are barely visible anyway.

From the start the design of the cards in general and the cosmetic tiers in particular, has been kind of a fail imo. The general reason why these feedback popups get a 8 out of 10 for me, is the loadout cards (and cosmetics are part of it) system.

That’s probably my biggest disappointment with the game (which I love otherwise). After the amazing job they had done with Brink (man those player models had character!), the great work with the default DB models and the first few alternate skins that were revealed (Founders but also the alternate Arty and Bush for instance), to be stuck with nothing but recolors of the same default models over and over is really sad :frowning:

So much potential for eye candy wasted so far…
