Oh yes, I completely agree. I like the idea of being completely invisible when standing still, it would allow for some awesome ambushes if played correctly (imaging people crying about this in pubs though - oh god, it will be hilarious) and his visiblitiy should be lowered quite a bit in order to compensate.
The main problem with Phantom is that he’s merely average at best in pubs right now, which I think is why Splash Damage don’t feel he needs changing - because there are still people who play him “well” in pubs. Making him too invisible would be a complete stomper for people who are uncoordinated, and they would begin with the whole “He’s so OP because I wasn’t paying attention” nonsense. :L
He’s terrible right now against skilled players with coordination, because he’s easily spotted and dealt with, making him useless for any level of comp. Honestly, I think they just need to completely rework him in order to actually make him useful to the game, because 9 time out of 10, he’s less useful than a Vassili… and that should really set off alarm bells.
A Phantom who is rushing in and killing people is way better than a Vassili sitting back and hiding. With only full invisibility while slow moving, that would make him one of the most boring mercs. He can already ambush people in corners, and in places people don’t look often. Get a high spot, or a corner, crouch and go invisible, same thing as you want. Like other recons, he takes skill to use properly. Any phantom who is using the shield to run in head first with katana is not playing phantom right.
Thing is, there’s nothing stopping them from playing that way since you can attack while cloaked, so you can absorb damage till your Refractive Armor drops and start taking damage like anyone else. By that point you’re already in range for a slice or two.

You know I’m with you on this! This is a ship that’s going to sail! ^3^
And I mean both of 'em >:3
still looking forward to that throwable fixes, whenever it’ll happen
Still looking for open doors on Underground before blowing it up and duo updates(with 2 mercs added in 1 update which could be fun for stoker and turtle :D)
Edit:And bug fix for not adding missions when timer is off(i have always free slots but then again 3 hours wait time).
I won’t be too happy if they remove the shield with
Because they marketed him as a STEALTH class, and the fact even Radrado feels that the armor is the only thing keeping him viable means he FAILS as a stealth class.
He is not a tank like Fragger and Thunder, and he should not be built like one either.
He needs actual cloak, working cloak, if anything they could buff his hp back to 120 to compensate. It’s still technically Armor.
Radrodo works in Nexon support. He’s a cool guy but doesn’t have anything to do with the design of the game or the mercs any more than people on this forum. He is like everyone else and just has his opinion on what he likes or wants to see.
Thanks for the info faraletch. Do you know how I can watch the full stream on past broadcast on twitch? It is only showing 4 minutes of it instead of the full.

As I’ve said. All they need to do to fix him is return his cloak visibility to pre-nerf, either give him back his original health or increase his speed, and give him a spotter power. I also think they should remove the speed buff of having the katana out all together since it weights more than the sidearm, is bigger than the sidearm, and can injury the wielder more easily than the sidearm (it also weights about twice as much as the cricket bat).
