12th-16th October Dev/Nexon Stream And Q&A Questions

It’s time for another Dev/Nexon stream and Q&A questions thread! Good questions will be sent to the stream host prior to the stream beginning so that key/important questions are sure to be answered. :slight_smile: This will be done early morning of the stream say, OR the day before, so if you want your question to be sent, make sure you get them in here ASAP! ^.^

If anyone has any specific questions about the game, or possible ideas (pretty much anything you can think of), post them here and I will forward the questions to the devs/stream host, and I will have this to look through during the stream’s Q&A sections.

Before asking, don’t forget to check out this recent thread I made: http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/17544/dev-nexon-stream-faq It details all the general FAQ’s from the dev/Nexon streams.

If possible, I’d like to request people not reply to people’s questions on this thread in order to keep it cleaner and allow the questions to stand out. If you wish to discuss any particular topic someone on this thread may raise, instead of replying here, make a new discussion if there isn’t one on the subject already! :slight_smile: I’d appreciate is people could adhere to it. Thanks!

Would you consider adding a forfeit option to comp since the matchmaking isn’t exactly up to par as of now? It would help a lot of people, and relieve a lot of boredom.

Are there any plans to improve the matchmaking system, especially a party system for non-competitive?
It’s really annoying that me and my friend get matched most of the times in different teams!

Are there plans to make to comp mode more interesting? any additional rewards or a ladder or anything special to non-comp? i really don’t know why i should play comp.

In what manner will the “Trade-In” system be getting reformed?

Could you please change some of the min level 10 servers to 6vs6? (Both Objective and Stopwatch)

Are the released maps considered done, or are there plans for further tweaking/changes? (I’m thinking about attack on the first stage of Bridge in particular, which can be pretty frustrating)

Can you please change the iron sight (fuzzy green blob) on the Blishlok? (Just make it a bit smaller and sharper.)

Any chance trade ins and trade ups will be changed? The cost for both past Bronze is a bit overkill.

They are for sure changing it. They already stated that they are fixing it and advise that you don’t use it until they change it :slight_smile:

Any hints on the “new generation” of loadout cards ? I’m worried that simply adding a new generation wont affect the loads of fairly useless loadout cards but instead make them even less appealing by adding new/better loadout cards.

The servers are really worrying me recently. They’ve improved some points while they got some others totally ruined in the meantime. So far in EU, the situation is quite bad, with regular spikes, warps, weird delays… The situation is just below average compared to what has to be expected for a fast fps. And some of those issues are just a proof of maintenance lacks on the servers (just put a server restart once every two day…).

Any plans on servers improvements coming in the next update ? Any plans on improving their monitoring ? Any news on narrowing ping tolerances and improving tickrate ?

Is there a chance for the sights on Sparks’ Revivr being reworked a bit? Currently it is far too easy to lose track of the tiny translucent dot in the middle. I’d at least like to be able to have my own crosshair visible instead since I use a dot anyways.

  2. Its going to be more performance improvement?
  3. What the Dev think about the game performance relative to players numbers, community and everyting releated to the real world game developing

For the Party System, how many players will it allow per party? We’re concerned that having a full 5 stack will result in constant 5man team v 5 randoms stomps in casual matches. Have you considered making it a “buddy” system where you can only bring 1 other player with you?

Are more optimizations for the UI coming? I’m still getting a pretty significant delay when clicking buttons. Half the time I never get to vote for maps and trading out a merc in the lobby literally takes about 15sec for me. This has been an issue for an extremely long time.
