12fps with fraps

(JareeB) #1

for every setting i get the same fps no matter what, i get a solid 60fps but when i use fraps it drops to 12fps before the new patch, i could record just fine now i cant. the only thing that changed was the games so how come it does this?

Try the Afterburner beta, whatever game I record I only drop a few fps where I would get massive fps drops with Fraps.
Oh, and it’s free too!

that recordered is crappy it speeds the game up and it doesnt work right at all

I have a hard time understanding what you’re trying to say.
Afterburner runs perfectly for everyone else.

I think he is saying that the MSI AfterBurner/Predator software is giving him issues with speeding up the game play and it dosn’t work right at all.

On the other hand it may just be a FPS cap setting that may need to be adjusted, but since I have not used that software I couldn’t say for sure. Fraps has an FPS cap and if you leave it at no cap the same type of thing can occur when you are getting extremely high FPS in game.

Is the game and the place you’re capturing to on the same drive? With fraps I try and keep the game and save location on separate drives. Could even be something as simple as a defrag required.
