10 elite cases all silver

(coquelicotChestnut) #1

is this normal? what luck do you guys have?

(Viquel) #2

I’m not going to find out. For me, it’s really hard to spend money on the game, as I refuse to support RNG, and the credits are suffcient for mercs.

I opened 10 up last week and got 1 gold and 9 silvers… Looks normal :frowning: The odds of getting a Cobalt are only a little better then the odds of getting a Bronze from a normal case.

And it is like pulling a random # out of a hat, but the hat is reset after each pull. This means each case will have pretty good odds to be a silver. Sometimes you just get an unlucky streak.

Lmao, wow. Those elite cases are massively overpriced for the odds they give. Especially considering you can spend $3.50 for the exact card you want in Bronze and above Bronze is cosmetic only.

but you can’t JUST collect them all… You need to gather the shinies :stuck_out_tongue: lol

Kidding aside, the only people who should probably be buying Elite cases are those with the money to waste anyways.

15 cases for me = 1 cobalt, 1 gold, 13 silver

Just here to do my daily reminder I have more Cobalts than you. 20, in fact!
I have also had a streak of 20+ of silver only. It is sad when it happens.

(mOist) #12

welcome to RNG , i opened 10 got 2 Cobalt , 3 gold 5 silver, i dont plan on opening more atm as it seems i was stupidly lucky.

(Amerika) #13

Yeah, that is some, “I just won a medium sized lottery” levels of luck right there.

(Ardez1) #14

So between 2 packs of ten cases I pulled 2 Cobalt, 10 Gold and 8 Silver. Stupid lucky pulls imho. Caught a LOT of gold. Both packs of 10 were opened on different days though.

I have cracked a total of 35 cases. Grand totals are 2 Cobalt, 12 Gold, 20 Silver.(the 5 pack I bought was 1 gold 4 silver. The other 10 pack was 9 Silver 1 gold).

A bit unrelated, but by the percentages of each case, to be able to get a single cobalt card you must open…

10,000 normal cases… Since it is .01% chance(1/10,000), opening that many cases exhausts all of the options.

20 elite cases, since it is 5% chance(1/20), it would also exhaust all of the options.

Of course it doesn’t work that way all the time, but it is quite daunting seeing the percentage chance of getting a cobalt for normal cases, however, they are free. TF2 doesn’t allow the opportunity to get unusuals for free.

(Szakalot) #16

once Cobalt tradeup will be available, all those silvers can be put to good use.

Actually its 0.1%, so the odds are 0 times better than you thought. Must be your lucky day

(Serious Sam) #18

Well, considering my luck on normal cases, if I tried a 10-er for the elite cases I’d probably end up with 10 silvers. I’ve opened plenty of normal cases and have only gotten like 3 irons.

(brawnyJester) #19

just got a m4 fragger cobalt from a normal case.
