Your opinion on the Crotzni?

I used to hate it, but then I’ve realized that I can just tapfire it like the Dreiss - pretty good at popping heads quickly.

crotzni just feels too easy.

It’s in a lot of the best loadouts so I’ve always loves it. Best example being the CR81 on Phoenix AND Nader.

Just, please change that hideous ironsight, and make the stock look less flimsy.

(Yes, I care a lot about aesthetics)

I think it’s pretty well balanced but I’d like it to be changed in the same way I’d like every other gun to be changed which is less spread while moving, don’t understand why there’s a penalty for strafing and shooting in a game like DB, and slower spread increase per shot so I can hit 100% headshots on people at mid range if I don’t miss my first few shots. Right now, with basically every full auto weapon not just the crotzni, if you use them at mid-long range you can’t reliably hit headshots after the first few shots because of spread. Don’t know what the justification for that is.

the reason for spread is manyfold, one of which is positioning: a person with a good position can dodge less and focus on high accuracy shots. A person with worse position has to dodge more, sacrificing accuracy.

Moreover, spread helps facilitate teamwork, as its harder to score multikills against equally skilled players; since your spread will be a lot worse for the 2nd enemy.

Guns with perfect accuracy would make for bland gameplay. Better aimers would steamroll through weaker aim opponents, and teamwork would becomes less relevant.

Also spread makes a pretty good tool for defining engagement ranges without having to rely soly on min /max falloff.

Is gud for sure.

OK but it’s inherently easier to hit shots while standing still and in a good position with good cover regardless of spread penalties. If I can stand still behind a headglitch and shoot at someone in the open, I’m gonna hit more shots than if I had to ad spam out in the open and hit a headglitcher even if there was no spread in the game simply because the shots are easier to land on a large exposed target especially when I don’t have to also dodge. My point is the reward for good positioning is already there without spread.

In a scenario against two equal skill opponents with equal hp, guns, positioning, etc., you will lose every time even without the spread penalty. Assuming all things are equal, their DPS will be double yours and that’s without factoring in the effects of aimpunch and being able to synergize abilities. Again, the reward for teamwork is already there without spread being a factor.

Since when is it a bad thing for bad players to lose to better ones? Should we have strapped weights to Messi and LeBron because they’re so talented they just steamroll everyone who’s far worse than they are even though they don’t always act as team players? If someone is so much better than everyone on the opposing team that they don’t even need to use their teammates, then they deserve to steamroll. It makes games more exciting since you can’t just say “well they’re in a bad situation so they will for sure die now” because they might actually be talented enough to win in spite of their bad situation. Also, teamwork would only become less relevant in a setting where 1 team is way better than the other. If the two teams are even in the same ball park regarding skill, then teamwork still makes a massive difference. Even if someone pumps out almost double your DPS, which is very unlikely at the competitive level, you’ll still win every time if you can put yourself in a 2v1 with a medic nearby or if you can have a teammate soften them up with explosives before you peek or even if you just use good positioning and awareness to catch them off guard.

tl;dr
Teamwork, positioning, and other tactics and strategies will always be important if teams are even remotely balanced. There’s no need to dumb down the shooting to make things that are already very important more important. Doing so just makes the gameplay less varied and more predictable. If someone can still dominate your team despite you having all the tactical advantages, it’s because they are far more talented than you and your teammates.
