Your Music Your Brink

“Invaders must die” from prodigy is the best song for any FPS  especially QW while you are gdf!, we should have some radio on anansi IMO

I would 80% of the time play with the in game music and special effects sounds. As others have said, in this type of game, if you want to play it “hardcore” or be better at it, you want to listen for any inclination of an enemy nearby. I did the same with Team Fortress Classic and Counterstrike. But if I just ended up wanting to play casually I would put winamp on and blast some Rob/White Zombie, NIN, Dream Theater, Crystal Method, Bloodhound Gang (I don’t know, it’s awesome playing and listening to them). Basically anything that comes to me.

Found you. Tag. You’re it!

Most of the time, I just listen to the game, but when I do listen to music, I enjoy listening to metal - prog, power, black, thrash, speed, - metal of all kinds.

DnB and electronic DnB are my favorite for gaming/frag movies, while I tend to like rock/alternative for casual listening. If I got my try face on though, it’s always music off.

Weapons of Mass Distortion - The Crystal Method.

Generally instrumentals seem to work better for the masses.

other than that I thought about Bodies–drowning pool (only when using a shotty), Battle Metal–Turisas, Norther–The Final Countdown, or some other random song that’s Power/Folk/etc Metal.

I agree with the usual no-music-while-playing sentiment, because last time I did that with TF2, by the end of 2hrs I wasn’t even trying. Songs are nice to pump you up. However, you just can’t overplay them.

Depending on volume, songs drown out any of footsteps, bullets and sense of direction, but that doesn’t matter unless you are playing competitively, the main problem is that music makes it hard to communicate with your team (esp if you get mic reflection b/c of volume).

i mostly play my own playlist. all tool albums.

what i would suggest for brink is pretty much the soundtrack of district 13. very fast electronic beats or slow smooth deep basedrums, almost like instrumental rap music.

Is this your try face? I would go back to listening to music if so.

You must have found my facebook account….

Actually I did a search of Mr. Fatal1ty superstar of awesomeness… [right] and thought about what he looks like when he puts his try face on. For reference, here is the normal face.

BTW… I want my life back you h4x0r.

Anyways back on topic: Other music to listen to while gaming… Rammstein, Pantera, Daft Punk [Discovery], Nightwing (If you can find it), and Metallica [Master of Puppets]

(LyndonL) #32

I used to like listening to music whilst playing (+1 to whoever said they listen to Tool), but since I got off my ass and bought a 5.1 surround speaker set I only listen to the ingame sounds. The immersion coupled with a large screen is awesome!

(tinManz) #33

Yeah music like this usually ends with me going scout and playing like a frantic jumping bean, but in the end it adds to the badassness and allot of times its fun just to let loose…

Oh and my try face:

(Dormamu) #34

…songs who i think would rightly fit this game are :
Judas Priest - Revolution
and
Crematory - Revolution
… i hope to see a Brink movie with one of those songs…

(Slade05) #35

I just turn on Unreal Tournament soundtrack.
The first one.

Mechanism Eight is the best upbeat tracker tune for FPSes.

Oh, and my try face is on my avatar.
