Ive never gotten anything better than a bronze out of a normal case, and the 3 elite cases Ive opened all had silvers. Im always unlucky in unboxing things in games.

Actually, that’s a silver. Also, the spin isn’t real. Your loadout card is picked the moment you open your case, so it didn’t matter if every single one of those side loadout cards were cobalt, you would have still gotten the exact loadout card.

The Cobalt Sparks and Gold Fragger are pretty worthless so I just use the Bronze cards that are better, but the Gold Proxy happens to be my favourite loadout for one of my favourite classes!

Yesterday when I visiting friend and making him play dirty bomb for the first time, he got the level rewards and wanted to buy cases. And, of course, he opened a cobalt skyhammer from the SECOND case he bought. I was JUST explaining how rare that actually is, if I wasn’t there he would’ve probably been like “what an ugly skin”. Suddenly made him like the game a lot more, lol

Well, statistically, he’ll possibly need another 1000 standard crates to get a another cobalt :p.

Besides, 1 per 1000 chances to drop a cobalt is not that rare, if you consider the number of case you’re receiving through playing, which is around two crates per hours played.

If you look at the numbers of players playing the game in the last two weeks, and their average playtime : https://steamdb.info/app/333930/graphs/
There have been 575000 players in the last two weeks playing on average 4,5 hours. This makes 2 587 500 hours played. Just for the example, we can consider that 75% of this time will generate cases (idle on menu, leaving during the game…), so we have roughly 2 million hours played generating cases in the last 2 weeks. If everyone dropped 2 cases per hours, there have been 4 million crates dropped in 2 weeks, or 333 333 per day. If the odds are perfect, that’s around 333 cobalts dropped from standards per day.

So far ive got 2 cobalt cards from about 50 regular cases, give or take.
Both cards were crap tho, so now they just clutter my loadout screen.

ive gotten a cobalt from a standard case…but not a good one. thats pretty much the best fletcher card imo.

i got a cobalt aura that i just never use…not a fan of her

Sadly this isn’t “almost” The card you get is predetermined and that spin animation is just a placebo. There could be 10 cobalts (silvers) on both sides :smile:
My best was a perfect bronze Sparks. But I hate her.
