who is good with gtkradiant?
W:ET has it’s own set of textures. There are skies in it as well.
If you want new, make them yourself or look for Sock’s skyboxes.
EDIT: Spock’s materials The skyboxes are made for Q3 but they work for W:ET as well.
Just searched them for ya as you probably won’t know Sock.

This probably means that you are applying the sky TEXTURE instead of the sky SHADER.
You can see the difference in the texture window of GTKRadiant, shaders should have a white rectangle around them.

It stays with your map file, in the map folder funnily enough. It give instructions on what it should do.

and u want your map to be more interesting than just buildings…
So you want a tank or an MG42 or anything else… it is propably scripped…
Scripts tell the map what will happen when a player interact with your map…
EXEMPLE:
MG is to be used RIGHT?
So there must be a script that tells your map that a player can shoot with an MG…

on my planet your_map_name.map and your_map_name.script go together in your maps dir as i stated in the other post, when compiled your_map_name.bsp is also in the maps dir.
Shader files go in your scripts dir.
Socks go in your drawer.
tapirs in your pen.
and pies in the oven.
And i dont have MSN, the doctor gave me some cream and it cleared it right up. :huh:
Oh, but a mg42 doesnt need a script, its a entity, misc_mg42 o.O right click and select it from the menu
He probably downloaded some repairable mg42, you know, like you see in oasis and for that you do need a script.
