When it balance?

(ClemClem7) #21

The match of the OP wasn’t unbalanced, only 2 good people in the enemy team. It was not like everyone in the enemy team was better (looking at score).

@Scav it’s not a good idea to make fun of people who try to speak with the community even if he doesn’t speak very well English.
I speak 4 languages and sometimes I just can’t make a good sentence, but if everyobe catch the sense of it, it’s not a real problem.

Yes, but this was just beyong a milestone of funny. (and maybe i just got tired of the millionth post about someone new to fps getting rekt on a non-maxlvl5 server) You ppl take it too seriously tho. Someone criticises you and you instantly feel your life is in immidiate danger. Thats sad.
But, if you go on a forum to make a post about something thats 1) already in a game 2) already has million of topics 3) is a well known issue and easy to confuse because some ppl make smurfs and then stomp others as lvl 4-5 for a few games and is mostly due to frustration, then at least make it properly.
You can speak as many languages as you want in general, but right now english is the most universal tool of communication, and isnt really a hard one. At least get a title that makes sense (autobalance, etc so many thing that make more sense) but WHATEVER yall have your fun, i made my point, and i dont ridicule ppl out of bad intentions but simply cause they make themselves look bad.

@Scav Good that you stopped. You made idiotic point which you got called out on. Suck it up and learn a lesson from it.

I see red when people start insulting others for trying to speak/write/learn a language and it doesn’t sound “optimal” for their nitpicky whiny arses. I’ve been in school in 3 different cities/towns across my country and in each and every single one teachers made majority of people ridiculously shy and even hate speaking English just because their pronouncication didn’t meet their insane native-speaker standards. Ever since freaking 4th grade for crying out loud, kids are 11-12 by then sheeshus!! I still got friends who’re starting to now finally on their past mid 20’s speaking English in our online groups more than 1 word at a time. And they can read/understand, even write it just fine, they’re just given bad grades and nitpicked on simply for saying stuff with a focking accent.

Stop being a dick towards people trying.

It’s a bit difficult to balance how the system is set up now, since levels only mean experience, not skill. You could have a lvl 30 who plays as well as a beginner or a lvl 9 who plays as well as an expert. Auto balance, I hear, is going to be put into play sometime, but I think it may be hard without some kind of ELO system or something.

As for now, just accept the teams as they are. If you’re playing against someone more experienced and skilled, try to learn a thing or two from watching the player, where he is, etc. etc.
Yes… i am testiment to lvl 30+ who plays like a beginner… meh :disappointed:

That’s what happens when my finger slips onto q while I’m about to revive someone.

This balance system is basically going out the door when we implement Casual Matchmaking which is why it’s not currently being fixed/worked on.

When Casual Matchmaking is implemented, it will include an auto balance, and will also include things such as being able to party with friends and hiding levels.

So don’t worry! We are working on it!

“Hey guys! I’m trying to make a point here but I’m just gonna hide my level”
All we know you could be lvl 100.

Anyways, the game puts one player into attacking team, next one to defending team etc. etc. etc. as they join in the server if teams are even so there are time when lvl 5 joins attacking team, then lvl 356 joins defense, lvl 8 attacking aaaannnnnnnnnddd lvl 53 defense.
(yeah I think I’ll spare people and don’t quote le wallish of text whenever somebody points out how the game has balance issues… well, level-wise)
Poor excuse. Ive been in full lobbies that once the match is about to begin, pretty much all the under 10 levelers are thrown to one team, while myself and a few other over 20s end up on a team.

The devs did a poor job of balancing this game skill wise. And they still need to add auto balance when teams get outnumbered.

Wow can’t wait for that patch

So they need to punish the winning players for doing well when its not even their fault that the enemy can’t sit in for a full game? Right. Auto balance can fuck right off.

The day they implement auto-balance, I’ll just stop playing pubs alltogether.

(Cuck) #34

instead of extra gold on winning, put extra gold on people who actually help the team by measuring with the sscoreboard

Back in TF2’s community server glory days, I was part of a relatively small to medium (100 or so regular faces filled in by those who heard about us) sized one, the first thing we realised was that nothing killed a server faster than auto balance. People don’t like having all their work toppled at the drop of a hat, so they just sat in spectate until a slot opened on their original team, or they flat out quit. So we removed auto balance, and things ran smoothly as we always had decent traffic. Sure a team might be a few down but when you get a tight knit community most people are more open to switching teams anyway - this won’t happen in public, because no one knows anyone in public which is a great failing when trying to generate teamwork, sympathy or actual friendships and rivalries.

Anyway, it was a domino effect, and its why I always stand by my opinion that auto balance is flat out the worst thing you can implement into a team based game.
