It has already happened, these things come and go like the speed of light. We’ll have more for you over the next few days ;).
So I need :
- New shoes
- a red car
- some food and beer for the week
- a foot massage
- some strawberry
and maybe all will be fine.

If this game hits the Big $$$ then the founders should get profit sharing for investing
They’re running numbers in preparation for the company folding after Brink 2 is released.
Maybe they’re adding an Mobile App, where you can hack devices with and lookup the map etc.
At last, we can talk about it!
It was a press event. Nexon brought press from Europe, America and Australia to the Splash Damage office to check out Dirty Bomb. You should start to see their thoughts in the next week or so.
A few pics attached:
Ok … so what the news ? Any open beta in sight ?
Did they play on the same version as we have ? on the actual maps ?

Nope, Open Beta is still quite a ways away. They came over simply to get to know Dirty Bomb, as only a small handful of the gaming press had a chance to play Dirty Bomb way back at the PAX event.
They played a version that was almost the same as the current beta build, using the current maps, yup. Guess what, the office didn’t implode :P! It’ll certainly be interesting to read their write-ups though :).
be honest:
how was the feedback? :D
Always tricky to say right after an event, as at formal gatherings like this they’ll usually tend to keep their thoughts to themselves, I suppose they don’t want to feed any other lines to other members of the press :P.

#1) What is this

So many questions! Great to see :)!
#1) A bit of info about DB…primarily the default controls
#2) Close. It’s Toomic and Locki…we had Splashers switching in and out to help guide/coach the members of press.
#3) Nope, I believe that chap in particular works for a French publication.

Off the wall question and something you guys probably think is second nature but as an American it seems like a logistic nightmare:
How do you or this event handle all Foreign speaking people? I am assuming there are a lot of bilingual people at SD?
Did the people from respective countries “play” on that person language?
Where did you get all the PC’s from? The rent a’ Shop PC for LAN parties Store?
Lot of Razor stuff?
Was this “press” invite only and picked by SD?

The majority of the time, the members of the press who come to these kinds of events have a solid level of English, enough for us to be able to convey the various different notions that are important anyway. Communicating isn’t all that difficult. As far as other languages go, off the top of my head I believe we had people from France, Germany, Sweden and Denmark; as well as the US, UK and Aus.
We do have plenty of bilingual people here in the office though. It does come in hand when we need a small bunch of translations at short notice :P.
I saw the French chap playing in French, I didn’t see which languages the rest chose to play in. In general though, I know that plenty of German and Nordic players like to play all of their games in English.
The PCs? That’s the very place we got them from, good guess! (I wish we had them here all the time, that’d be fricken awesome).
Razer = Nexon has a strong partnership with them.
It was invite only for the press, yup. Nexon and SD worked together to choose the outlets, although there was a limited number of slots so we were some way off being able to invite a ton of them this time.
