im between 20-80 depending on: my computer heat (its a laptop with to small a fan), the location of the server (e.i. different Continent), and the internet connection in my area (i live in a rural place)

Reading people’s answers on here makes me sad…
I get a nice solid 14 fps.
But that’s to be expected from the laptop I use to play this game.

Now, this isn’t going to make any kind of real sense…because it doesn’t to me. It’s also a complete shot in the dark. But quite a while back I was having similar issues with my FPS and having freezes randomly. It wasn’t heat related as I thoroughly tested that and I also didn’t have the issue, or at least notice it, in most of my single player games. I also OC my processor. I then looked up my mobo to see if there were any updates and I found that that my BIOS was 4 revisions out of date. I did notice there was a change for RAM performance in one of the updates but that was the only change that seemed performance related.
I updated, re-OC’d my proc and immediately most of my hitching and frame lag stopped. This makes absolutely no sense why it would help DB specifically…but it did. It’s probably related to UE3 and how it was working with my hardware but I can’t think of what it would have been beyond the RAM thing mentioned in the patch notes for the BIOS update.
So it’s a way left field suggestion and you’re probably up to date…but it’s worth putting out there because it did fix the issues I had which sound a lot like yours.

Well I was running 144-300s FPS
Then i got an SSD, fresh reinstall of everything. FPS dropped to 40-80
Reinstalled chipset drivers video drivers and bios i have no idea what is going on.
Something is messed up only getting 20-30% use on cpu and gpu
EDIT turned on one frame interval and it climbed up to 40% now @ 100fps

I get around 30, having made no changes to the settings. Idk if I’m capping it, where would I find out? And are frames worth playing on anything other than the high preset i started out with?

180 or so consistently? And that’s on a machine that cost me only £600 to build.
