I regularly have guys night and we all try to hold out in horde mode together. It’s just all I ever see the man playing.

Eh, I could never get into the first one. To me it was just run, thunk into cover, shoot, yawn. Rinse and repeat.

I figured Killzone 3 MP and Crysis 2 MP would hold me over until Brink but those two games are pretty big disappointments in my eyes. KZ2 is a much better game (for me), and I never played Crysis 1 but C2’s online multiplayer is just boring, and seems like a wasteland on the PS3. Very little unlocks, game modes are boring, most maps too dark, a lot of camping and sneaking. Not my style.

I do like the SOCOM 4 beta though, so I might pick that up since playing it is much, much more team-oriented and people actually talk and work together.

And when all else fails, Netflix keeps me very busy and entertained.

Your mistake was looking beyond the carefully crafted veneer. Epic is 90% presentation 10% game. Not that I blame them, this is all many gamers want.

But now after playing so much Gears, I am quite bothered with how fast you could kill and be killed in Call of Duty :l

In my opinion Gears 1 is bad compared to Gears 2, the only problem I find in Gears 2 is the massive range on the Gnasher, it’s basically a rifle now and not a shotgun, but apart from that I think the game is marvelously great!

But if you don’t like the whole ‘‘take cover and shoot’’ concept in TPS, then I might suggest not picking Gears 2 up, but if you do like that, please - Play some :stuck_out_tongue:

And I’ve been trying to beat moxxi’s underdome by myself on borderlands which I’ve found to be impossible.

Edit: Everytime I connect with someone on borderlands… they ask me to trade weapons… and then if I don’t have anything they disconnect. No one actually seems to play the game.

I only played GOW 1 once years ago. A acquantance let me borrow GOW 2 late last sumer and my opinion of the game rather matches Seyu’s impression of the first one.

It was a bit more fun on split-screen co-op with my brother though, since one of us would bait the enemies, and the other would flank and devastate.

Is the time between now and BRINK too long? Fear not! For the Gears of War 3 BETA is coming April 25th, and it ends May 15th, 2 days after that the US gets BRINK and 5 days after for the UK and EU! (13 days for Japan)

To get into the BETA, simply pre-order Gears of War 3 to receive a code!

Also, if anyone can tell me… How is Homefront?
