So will i be able to have a light agile character with a sniper? and then secondary fully auto pistol or smg
Lights can only use up to 'Light" weapons, which include snipers and SMG’s, so you could have a sniper OR SMG for your primary and you can only have a pistol as your secondary.
I read something about fully auto pistols… Would that only apply to certain ones? Cus I don’t imagine seeing a fully auto revolver any time soon
Well Brink isn’t going to have high cal rifles, so the light guys would fit the smaller rifles just fine, especially because this would mean you could expect snipers all across the map instead of just the lower confines.
Why do we snipers get to much stick, its a play style and anyone can play how they want to, especially in brink this will be the case. Good snipers dont stay in one place, they moove after a kill and use cunning and stealth to go unoticed, but i will be playing with all of the weapons. i just cant wait in genral for this game, im a fanatic and its not even released! haha
i think that the problem with snipers in most games is that they play a very selfish role by not helping the team at all (bbc2 was alright because it was recon not sniper) and also its sort of annoying how snipers can kill you without warning or a chance to fight back without using tactics that would lead to that situation, like having to sneek up on someone with a silenced gun
Luckily in Brink the reward you get for a kill depends on the context, you get more points for killing someone doing an objective.
sure, so “sniper” in common, more usual[in real-life experience and in other games]meaning, in Brink is worthless/questionably.
but im suspect, author of replica mean “is snipers equipment is heavier than ordinary for grunts/scouts/medics&etc”. ie, snipers with light/wea body type cannot handle “sniper” rifles effectively[as even can’t carry(let alone firing//sniping) in real-life, frequently].
Why do people think “long-range” when they put together an arcade game and sniper rifle.
Can’t wait for the special edition Doom SMG. I like the little demon guy on the side of it.

Probably because they are thinking more about the sniper rifle and less about if the game is “arcade” or not. They see “sniper” and expect it to behave as such.
thats was all about definitions:
from existence/universe/god[google/wiki “Comsomology/Theology” at such topic 4 A’s]
down to particular definitions of “arcade”.
whose are [seriously]personal and unique for each players.
for example, my PoV is “anything simpler Arma2 is arcade”, in short.
point is to make this “arcade”[or not]product playable and enjoyable by some player, without hurting others players needs. its very tricky/difficult task[in all level and stages of production/dev’t].
Translation:
It all comes down to semantics. Highly ambiguous definitions like ‘existence’ ‘universe’ or ‘god’ (google cosmology or theology if you like to know more) are in this way similar to the word ‘arcade’. These words have unique and different meanings for each player. For example, I personally see any game that has more simple mechanics than the game Arma2 as arcade. The point is, you can’t pin point ‘arcade’ as a definition and then proceed to base a game on it because everyone has different standards when it comes to this. It’s a very difficult aspect that arises in all phases of the development of the game.
And what has this got to do with topic, being weapons?
There was a weaponchart of 9 guns somewhere, I guess you’ve already seen it
Edit, this one:
