Give me body gibs (including explosions that gib people instantly so there’s no revive) and give me body dragging for later revives and I’ll become a founder. Otherwise after the Brink debacle, not that I regret paying SD more money which I almost felt I still owed from W:ET, I’ll be waiting to see if this game retains a player base before spending money on it.
What do you want to see in Dirty Bomb?
No radars
No explosive/cheese spam
Full mod support
Solid spectator tools
As long as you got mod tools you can trash the game and the community will fix it.
Edit: Solid Anti Cheat

Mouhahahahahahahaha ! it’s kinda right
And yeah a Solid spectator mod is needed ! best anticheat ever !
For an arena/fast paced shooter like Quake, I would agree. However, a lack of radar in this game would encourage camping.
Give us an ET-style sprint where you can aim at the same time and strafe faster. This CoD sprint just makes running away so much easier and promotes stagnant gameplay when mixed with arena style gameplay. See: Halo Reach with sprint on and sprint off.
ET trickjumping was the ID tech 3 trickjumping. Now on unreal engine, I don’t think that splash damage will work on the addition of trickjumping.
If they listen to the community they just need to do it ! every thread, every post speak about strafe jumping ! everyone want some
So they have to work on something, maybe for a futur patch.
[QUOTE=Erkin31;415664]So Dirty bomb is on unreal engine. I want this!

Default UE3 movement feels WAAAAY too floaty, even in this video. You can tweak it though, anybody who has played Tribes Ascend since beta can say how much they changed the movement around.
your right !
I re-watch the video and yes it’s very “floaty” look like low gravity
this kind of bunny hop is way much better :

Warsow had the best implementation of bhop imo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Y6t07VID4w
New players didn’t need to take a tutorial for a few hours just to learn the basics, you can just hold down space and make any kind of strafe movement and learn as you play. It was also still quake movement, with a key that did special moves like in UT with walljumping and dodging.
Lol !
One of my best friend is the character designer of Warsow (CedLed). I mean the first one ! there is others coming after he left the project, but he work on it since the beginning with a team during 5 years to make a First version of this game. The movement system is one of the best in all video game history !
Made by few fan of CPMA.
Look like SD story they were modders and finaly make a full game.
- no radars
- sprint + shoot/sprint + strafe
- 100% server side customization of everything in the game
I think I agree. The gameplay video is slightly slow and doesn’t have the movement (but as a sidenote, I personally don’t need trickjumps). It still feels a bit too like a generic shooter, and if SD would be doing this because they genuinely think it’s better that way, all right, but if they think they can please a major audience by doing that, they’re doing a mistake. F2P is a great market for “unconventional” games, I would like to see them bring back the excitement to gunfights, like it was in W:ET
balanced promod -> spectator/shoutcaster mode
active development
strafe jump
sprint/strafe+shoot / no ironsight
decent options for config customization
balanced maps /w multiple objectives
clear hud
good class-system, limited weapons (or limitable in mods/configs)
promotion, possibly have it on steam
…
Yes eliii, I think make the game also available on Steam can be a great idea for the success of the game
I think the bunny jump/sprint/strafe+shoot can be a good idea for make the game less soft.
Camping is more of a concern for 1 life game modes (Search and Destroy) with very fast TTKs. It’s not as powerful in this style of game and shouldn’t be of great concern. The maps are generally linear since it’s escort/objective based and their are revives, faster movement, slower TTKs, etc. Sitting in a corner might get you 1 - 2 kills tops but you will get wiped out and a medic can come and pick those 2 up. Radars aren’t necessary and are more of a crutch for sloppy players.
The bigger concern is if you can cook nades or not. Cooked nades makes for cheesy gameplay.
