What do you play while you wait for Dirty Bomb to come back?

(Litego) #21

I’m playing Toxikk, UT4, QL and CSGO.

And I’ve gone full casual mode and started playing an MMO again, Wildstar, no shame!
You should try Xonotic if you like Quake-Like games. It’s open source, so totally free. There may not be a huge player base though (at least in europe) because the game is not really well known, but the game itself is really good.
I did download Xonotic and jumped around on an empty server for a while. Don’t remember why I didn’t play against anyone, if the servers were empty or what.

I also tried Warsow and Nexuiz (the cry engine one). Warsow basically had no population and was down to duels, I never was a duel player, I’m more FFA, TDM or objective player. So that wasn’t really for me. And Nexuiz was just plain bad.

But sure, I’ll download it again and see if there are players. I’m an EU player.

Give UT4 a try, it is available for download (free), has lots of maps (most of them are bare bones but the latest update added a fully textured map as well as a community made map, both of which are pretty good). Also, there are Instagib servers set up if you want to practice your twitch aiming. There are a decent amount of people playing as well, most of which are skilled at aiming and dodging.

Planetside 2 is the only other FPS I have any experience with.

Unfortunately.

(balu) #24

ArmA 3

(Landia) #25

So am I the only one sitting in the corner, rocking back and forth slowly?

(Kitsunami) #26

Skyforge! :stuck_out_tongue:

(adventurousKick) #27

I tried Toxikk and was a bit disappointed. One to sit on though, could get better.

Payday 2 (free weekend) seems fun enough on it’s own, but I keep getting lured into buying 2-5 dollar DLC’s here and there, which I find infuriating.

Quake Live is a great substitute, but it’s a little TOO fast for me.

I’m tired of all my other games I have currently, (mostly sim games, Arma series, Assetto Corsa, etc)

So I’m downloading Left for Dead 2 again.

Blacklight: Retribution

Pretty fun for a game with a noticeable lack of updates.

(Jeebs) #29

Destiny on the PS4, been waiting for a good shooter for PC

(appreciativeBuster) #30

UT Pre-Alpha
Firefall
Smite
Tekken & Street fighter
Rise of Incarnates
Nosgoth
DC Universe Online
Planetside 2
Natural selection 2
RTCW/Wolfenstein: Enemy territory/Rise of the Triad
Triad Wars
Counterstrike
Quake Live or Q3
The Total War series.

Various PSP/PSX/PS2 games or I am working on CFW or porting games.

(preciousSoda) #31

a game called “How do you do it?” I now know so much more about women.

(homesickMailbox) #32

That’s not an FPS
I tried playing CS GO but no it feels boring and lame compared to this ._. i think about installing older games or playign doom or something. ATM i play a bit MoH airborne not because its good but because its funny killign everyone with hipfire from a pistol or beating them into submission.

W: ET still has a playerbase? I’m impressed… left the game because of some ‘clan’ or klan severs and clans if you catch my drift WWII mp games are for them what shit is for flies.
CS:GO has an INSANE learning curve and skill gap. If you aren’t about putting the first 15 to 20 hours of game time into practicing with bots you will get wrecked and the game wont be fun at all.

I have even given it a try and it’s horrible. I practice for about an hour every time before I go into matchmaking and half of the time my team is yelling at me.

That being said it’s EXTREMELY rewarding getting kills and winning matches.

Where in the title does it say it has to be an FPS game?

(adventurousKick) #35
So, I played BETA and now I can’t wait for DB to come back… They said: “…in the next few weeks…”! I hope so!

Anyway… I don’t know what to play while I wait for DB. Give me some ideas.

P.S. FPS games only, pls…
Title: WHAT DO YOU PLAY WHILE YOU WAIT FOR DIRTY BOMB TO COME BACK?

I only read the title, not his actual post. My bad.

(MissMurder) #38

You have one week left to cheat on Dirty Bomb! Then no more :smirk: http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/1516/dirty-bomb-back-in-business-march-26th

(adventurousKick) #39

You’re forgetting maintenance periods. >:) Minesweeper

(B_Montiel) #40

Survarium (a.k.a. MMOFPS Stalker) has been patched last week with new servers outside Russia/Ukraine (which improves a lot the game experience for western european like me). And I do think they leave 2 weeks of premium account to people who join in right now. I’ve been playing it for more than a month now. Completly different style compared to dirty bomb. Makes me rage way more as well. But it’s definitely with dirty bomb and UT4 one of my favorite game for 2015.
