What do you consider a GG?

(srswizard) #21

GG these days = we stomped you, now let me rub it in, because fuck you.

I never say gg, it’s not to be rude, I’m just so over and done with that shit.

(kopyright) #22

Even when I lose a round but it was still fun and challenging for everybody.

(DMaster2) #23

I like balanced games, where you have the feeling either teams could end up winning. I really dislike one-sided games, regardless if it’s for my team or my opponents.

FTFY …
What happens when you have a Vassili that end up being the top scorer? And don’t say it’s impossible

(LifeupOmega) #24

I’ll never say gg in a pub, it feels like a dick move and pubs are rarely ever a good game anyway.

(Fiktio) #25

Good game for me:

 • Both sides are balanced
 • Both teams are trying their best
 • Teams are aware of objectives
 • No complaining about how own team is bad
 • I give my best, no matter what’s the result and what was kd/r or score

(Hibbsan) #26

This is the only reason i ever say gg. So much fun saying gg when the whole enemy team said bg, they really go crazy.

(Maggot) #27

A good game to me is a balanced one, where the teams actually do objectives. Everything beyond that is icing on the cake.

To be fair, not everyone who does this is trying to troll. I have a couple of friends who do this. One does it as a complement to those who stay during a stomp, and another who does it out of habit.

(Ctrix) #28

A full stopwatch game where both parties made it to the same objective.

(SaulWolfden) #29

When both sides are fairly equal and the game is incredibly close. When my team and I are actually doing well against an enemy team that is doing well. A bad game on the other hand is when either my team or the other team completely stomps the other, it’s just uninteresting.

(Backuplight) #30

I say it most games unless my sodium levels are just too damn high. V586!

(Haki) #31

I say gg when the enemy team of 8 totally destroyed me and my three teammates that just joined with their immense synergy, highly skilled teamplay and perfectly executed strategy of not pressing F1.
Going through many games in Dirty Bomb, there is the common phrase after a game. GG.
Though many times, a GG isn’t always one.
In my opinion this is what I consider a good game.
What do you consider criteria for a ‘good game’ in Dirty Bomb?

 • The players stick to the game, not leaving mid-game.
 • Consistent scores all round.
 • No complaints on a players actions.
My reasons.

-When I do good.
-When my teammates play well.

@DMaster2 Well, I actually main Vassili and I top scores a fair amount of times but not always. Sometimes I do complete trash, it just really depends on the situation and the range of where the enemy team happen to be so you could easily snipe them.

(Gung-ho) #34

A good game is one where the teams are competitive. Competitive does not mean even it means that both teams stand a reasonable chance of victory but in some cases the lesser team have to do very well.

Players tend to lift their game when a match is very close.
At the same time players start making stress errors.
Players feel a rush and it is immediately recognisable when the game is good.

Dirty Bomb has these moments far less than W:Et and Etqw but they are there. It’s not entirely due to competitive teams being less common; the map size/reduced time/lower player count contributes to this as well. I think 3 stage maps like train yard are superior and DB only has two 3 stage maps (the other being Dome). Note that I consider the initial repair and EV escort as one stage.

(Reddeadcap) #35

GG, a game that lasted a really long time and both teams did their all before it ended rather than a curbstomp or a “regular game”

An example would be stopwatch where one team stomps another and the other lasts long enough to get a draw.

Who is this Miss? Can I have her number? I would Murder for it.
(KattiValk) #37

When I don’t have to carry a team and when the enemy team actually puts up a fight.
(why can’t Min 10 servers fill more dammit)

(N8o) #38

When the game was actually almost close, or everyone had a decent time.

So…
Competitive usually.

(tominatorx) #39

Whenever the team plays the objective and are communicating with each other. I don’t need to win to have a good time (It usually helps though) :). Nobody has to get 50 kills imo. As long as they are trying to support the team by doing their objectives, I have a good time as well.

But if you’re joining a game (like the one I had yesterday) where there are 3 Vassilis in my team, I’m the only medic (because nobody wanted to play as a medic), 1 engineer who is not repairing the EV and 2 skyhammers who don’t grasp the concept of giving ammo to your teammates when they ask for it and are standing right in front of you… then… yeah…

One of the most frustrating games I’ve ever played tbh.
