Weird, bug it!
What are your XP stats?
Wow im not that good…
http://xbox.brinkthegame.com/cheerio
You’re averaging 286xp per min and you’ve only logged 6 hours of game time. Sounds good to me. You’ll definitely be scoring more once your character is maxed and you learn all the levels, objs, etc. My XP avg has definitely gone up over the last week.
I have friends who have been playing BFBC2 for years now and they still only average around 60pts per min, when the usual upper level player is getting around 200+. As long as you’re having fun, that is all the matters, unless you have fun being a TKing griefer. Then you can go to Hell.
Well apparently stats only track free play. Good to know. I rechecked my stats and they’re fixed but low because I play coop a lot more than freeplay.
? it says i have 1 1/2 hours playtime. i have played since i got brink last day of school friday, and all saturday, sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday, and today? and it says ive only use 3 different weapons and that i have abilities i have never had. hell only right thing it has is that i love the bulpdaun and do mostly Op.
Edit, just saw above post. i mostly do campaign missions.
Ugh, there’s a kind of bug or more like design flaw with the XP per game stat. It seems to track all games as equals, even ones you join that are about to end. So if I join a game with one minute left, only get 400xp pts, that counts as 400xp per game. Boo.
I’ll keep doin the math then to get the more valid XP per minute. I’m now at 330,940 XP with 837 minutes played for an avg of 395 XP per minute. Dammit! I went down 2 XP today! Oh noes! Life over. Commencing seppuku! Uugggnnggnh…
This is completely true (minus the Life Over and Seppuku part).
XP/min is a much more reliable indicator of average performance, at least where your Rate of Experience Point Accumulation is concerned.
XP/game will be skewed more by your tendency to join and stay in games than it will your rate of XP accumulation.
It’s also probably true that your XP/min will be higher when using higher-level characters (i.e. Level 20), because these characters will probably tend to be more specialized in a given class and, thus, have more to do XP-accumulation-wise. Thus, XP/min will be skewed by the Character Level that you tend to play as (at least in the near term).

As an aside, I tend to find close games more ‘frustrating’ (i.e. “holy sh|t i’m glad that match is over”) than I find them ‘rewarding’ (i.e. “that was a good fight”). In particular, I can’t stand teammates who obsess about secondary objectives when we aren’t having success at pushing the primary one (THAT’s what the bots are for, mafuks’!). In instances like these, our team is decidedly lacking in coordination, flanking, and/or killing power. These are the times when your Kill Rate [kills/h], Lethal Survivability [K/D] and Medic Revive Rate [revives/h] really do make a difference. However, Killing Efficiency (a figurative summation of kills/h and K/D) isn’t the only way to prevail in such situations, and a stealthy objective-completionist approach can prove just as, if not more, successful. This is a fundamental reason why statistics such as Kill/h and K/D can be misleading in an objective-based game.
For me, the only currency is winning, and short of that it’s performing well in spite of overwhelming odds (i.e. these are the only times I enjoy close games, because I can respect my opponents knowing that we put up a good fight). I don’t enjoy being stone-walled by a team that is defensively entrenched. In the instances when I’ve won such games, I lament the slaying burden that I must perform, because I feel like I’m killing and holding off enemy waves single-handedly.
For instance, I played a game on Container City as Security the other night where I blew the gate and immediately pushed the bot to the crane as Soldier (I was the only one on my team with the bot and I killed off one full wave of Resistance by myself to pull this off [How? Hint: Gerrund with Soldier Nades at a choke point]). So far so good. From there, I held the only access the Resistance had to the crane while engineers repaired (this was a team effort). At this point, based on the speed with which we had completed the first three objectives, we had 18 minutes left on the clock to push the bot the remainder of the way and to deliver the package. We completed the final objective with less than 2 minutes to go. My team was completely incapable of slaying or holding ground. Meanwhile, a few of my allies were off diddling themselves while completing secondary objectives over and over.
To put it mildly, I found this scenario extremely frustrating. We didn’t prevail until I pushed enemy spawn and took up an overwatch position above the objective. From there, I killed roughly three partial waves of enemies before my teammates were able to grab the objective and escape. When they finally did grab the package, it was a f—ing bot that moronically and intermittently plodded its way back to the drop point. (I should note that the enemy had been camping inside the objective-package room and that the only way to give my team a chance to grab it was to Nade that room to death. Additionally, I was playing as a Heavy and had been unsuccessful on the one instance when I fought my way into the room and tried to get out with the package alive.)
So, having won this game on Container City, I looked at the score board. Sure enough, I was well-rewarded in XP for my efforts. However, I wasn’t overwhelmingly dominant XP-wise. My team had over 200 kills that game and we had 175 deaths. This game was a meat-grinder. The fact of the matter is that kills do matter, and that all of those secondary objectives don’t mean much if you can’t accomplish the primary ones. The XP rewards in Brink don’t tend to differentiate sufficiently between vital primary actions and superfluous secondary ones. I still think it’s a great system; it could just, perhaps, use a bit of tuning. Furthermore, just as kills/h or K/D should be scrutinized in an objective-based game, XP/min should also be taken with a grain of salt.

I really hope that’s stats tracking fail. Otherwise you’re not doing your job on your most played class.
SinDonor, I’m surprised when you say that you ‘rarely’ get Most Kills award.
We have very similar stats when it comes to our Kill Rates (i.e. [Kills/h] or [Kills/min]), and I very often get Most Kills. Also, I couldn’t help but notice that all of your last 10 Freeplay matches were either you playing by yourself or you and someone else playing versus bots…
I guess this goes to show a perfectly viable method to stat pad. Private Match, I presume?
Otherwise… I think your stats are numerically impressive.
