So finally got a game, was matched up against a team with 4 players against our 6. Was curious so asked levels and they were all high ranked, my team had level 3’s and 10’s. What factors are used in the matchmaking?
PS. We lost btw.

:0 On what?
We disabled Server Browser to make sure we can thoroughly test Casual Matchmaking. And to reiterate, this is a test. It may not be working as planned, but we will get the data we need to fix and update it

I just want to jump on a server and play. Solo queuing is awful so I’ll go play something else while you test this. Is the server browser coming back next week or is there no time frame on this?

cases, mercs that sort of thing. Was an active community member at one point with Faraleth, we ran a steam community and held events for the forum folk then it kinda went downhill, for what reason I have no idea, im sure people will have their own theories as to why.

Ah that was you…-_-
One thing I notice is we should be able to select the regionS that we want, not just one, shouldn’t we ?
@stayfreshshoe
Would also add, its still incredibly slow to find a game. Sitting in this pregame screen for currently 17 minutes. Please make a testing branch like many other EA and beta titles have, id gladly come test there and im sure many others will but I just want to relax, kick back and have a couple of games while I have the time right now.
this is all a bad dream. Tomorrow all will be fine, after someone gets fired.

You should and you can if you clikc the ‘CHANGE’ button
There is a PTS and its running tests, but you cant simulate the thousands of players of peak times. Scaling the system to life size is the problem and its done the hard way, cause theres not easy one:/
Well to be honest it worked well for me … The Obj took nearly 8 min to go and we played couple of matches and then decided to play EXE and Execution took only 3 to 4 min to join … and that was amazing … I think People should focus more on Crowded regions like EU … even though i am From ASIA … i tried in EU region and it was really quick in EU … Overall Had a great experience … @stayfreshshoe Thanks for implementing and hope you guys work further on these new subjects <3

However, I can’t. It will just switch to other region instead of select both. I believe that’s a BUG ?
Happy you had a good experience
With big new features like this there are always going to be teething issues, but I think we’re well on the way to making sure everyone has a good experience.

I totally get that they need to get as much info as possible, but the system in its current state just isnt fit to be even tested in the public domain. I’ve played one game in the last hour and the balance in that game was just like any other pub game. Yes, I know its an alpha phase before that hogwash is thrown down my throat and no im not attacking the devs either but the current matchmaking system barely works, so they cant be getting that much information and data. Im a tester for ARK and yes, thats not even close to being the same but with that we have our own Teamspeak channel, we have our own discord where we get one to one with devs and give feedback directly, all in an environment that is no different from the public domain except it doesnt effect the people that just want to have a little fun. I hope once this phase is over they have some other method to test these things because this currently isnt working, like I said its not an attack on them or anyone just a recommendation for the future.
Got into my first match after 35 minutes. Now sitting at 45 minutes and still waiting on my second match …
That one match was pretty good actually, but if I can play only 1-2 matches per hour I’d much rather go back to server browser.
Edit: Right after I posted this a match popped up. 1 player didn’t accept. Rejoining queue at 0:00. I’m done with DB until tomorrow.

DB all has that too. Its just that its under strict NDA. A side from the initial PTS announcement theres not much known to the outside world.
There were a lot of games going on in this test. Seems though that more did not.
We hit the dimensions where you only get your results in the scaling…

I was unaware, is this an open application or an invite only sort of deal? Id love to help out and im familiar with the whole NDA deal. Im glad they finally have something like this because when I last was really active there was nothing of the sort or it wasnt publicly revealed.
