Vote for the future of DB
(at least if it won awards, we will have more player on hand)
Dirty Bomb is on DIVERSITY Category
i dont know i should be happy or not…[/quote]
Right now, I personally can’t say DB deserves a GOTY, sorry. Even though I’m still a fan, somehow, it would be a lie if I’d vote.
Dirty Bomb is nominee (hope it’s the good english word) in Diversity category.
It will reward here Dirty Bomb for involving characters, which themselves and their story, from multiple origin, culture, and representing close to every communauty : like Nader being gay, Fletcher being nigerian, Aura as afro-american, Kira and Arty as asian, and so on, without being cliché.
We’re not here voting for “best game of the year” or that kind of common award.
So right now the game is less diverse then before in your opinion…? I don’t get it.

Nothing changed in the last months that would make me say: “Yes, this game deserves a GOTY”.
My personal issue with the game, besides Proxy, is obviously the team balance. Matchmaking was announced like…Months ago, right? But it seems it will take many months before it actually hits the game. I hopped into a match 2 days ago, nothing changed when you look at team balance. It’s almost always a one-sided stomp and the game does it’s best by putting the obvious better players in one team. I hate getting stomped with a team of newbies and equally hate stomping a team of newbies with a high-levelled team.
Summer Squash was announced as a big thing. In my opinion slowing down the progress of content for months to get rid of bugs might be okay, but creating more partially gamebreakers is a no-go in such a case, sorry. Just look at Stoker or the amount of people complaining about dropped FPS while it worked for months beforehand.
I still like the game, and I just hope that there will be a change that makes this game as successful as many great games. But for now I don’t have fun playing it for various reasons. And quite a lot of people who are on my friendslist because of DB quit playing it aswell. It seems that the game isn’t dead yet, but already started to bleeding out slowly.
And the last thing is that there are games on that list which deserve that “award” more than DB.

I just see the link saying: “awards/game-of-the-year”. And nothing on the site said a thing about cultural, sexual, ethnical or any kind of diversity to me. All I saw was a vote ending on the 31st October for a Game of the Year.
But okay, let’s assume it’s about diversity in games. In that case I don’t get how a mobile game where you play monkeys in a Zeppelin destroying someones property is a nominee for “diversity”.
I’m not familiar with lots and lots of those games, but if you dismiss MK for DB in the diversity … HAHA
… You love this game guys, but get real. It’s not worth it to be blind.

thats why i put cirno in the first place. I dont know if i should vote.
maybe its diverse because the mercs are not all white and there is a chinese, gay german, russians, americans, big guy, small chick and i think that is pretty diverse.
well @Jostabeere if you bother looking at the site, you should know. http://tiga.org/awards/2016-categories
you know in an oscar there are movie that are nominated not as the best movie of the year but as the movie with best director or script or actor?
it works the same way if you dont know.
@sweetColumn I am aware that there might be different categories. But for a casual casually looking at the vote nowhere is said there are different categories, y’know. There’s just the list of games.
yeah, they didnt give any categories in the vote page.
but the highest number of vote gets a title GOTY tho. I was just hoping if DB or SD won award we will get better player pool.
It’s even mentioned in the opening post of this thread…
Also: Which other game on this list would deserve it more then Dirty Bomb?
“We sing now”
or maybe “Kung Fu Panda 3”?
oh nonono, let me guess: “Apestorm: Full Bananas”
Well OP could write anything. The actual site did not say anything about it.
To the games, glad you asked. Well, it’s still subjective. But I would say: Stardew Valley, Verdun, or even Uncharted 4 for example.

no, thats why you got confused.
they didnt put anything on the Voting page because they want to see the vote who loves these games and put the most loved games as the GOTY.
i was wondering the same thing when i was going to vote, then i check around the web and found the categories myself. Thats why i wrote it at the first post on the thread.

No but it’s only one click away.
And that little text on the side even tells you where to click.
